42. Behind Blossoms

I regret every smile
That curved up my lips
When cherry blossoms
Fell on my wee tub.

I regret every swift tickle
Its fallen petals gave.
When cherry blossoms fell
And I swam across my wee tub.

I regret every beat of delight
That my wee heart pumped
When I hid innocent petals
On my embroidered wee casket.

Lil did I know
They were falling.
Falling away,falling apart,

O I was four.
I couldn't see
They were falling.
Falling away,falling apart.

Now I am a pair's year older
Now I see.
They were falling.
Falling away, falling apart
While I delighted upon unknown
Pain.

Pray they forgive
My childish ignorance.

O let me morn with thee
Fallen ones.
Split thy sorrow into a pair
I'll split my joy into another
And we can share those pain untold.
