And so you shouted out in anger.
You hit the wall,
You broke the glass,
And maybe you thought it might show them your strength
Or maybe ease your pain,
Or whatever reason you had.
And you went off to sleep.
Not a word.
Not a good night kiss
O lil did you know how much the crack on the wall would hit you back.
Lil did you know how much the broken glass would break you back.
Lil did you know how much every word you shouted would haunt you every night.
Because you did not know she was sleeping her last night.
Last night you breathed out anger and she sighed hurt.
This morning, you sighed regret and she sighed nothing.
What would she sigh when she's not breathing anymore.
