"Carver, I need you for a minute." Miranda told me walking in Denny's room.

"Yes, Miranda?" I asked, outside the room.

"Your dad is here looking for you." She told me.

"great." I replied, "he'll find me eventually."

I walked back in the room, Denny looked over at me.

"Hey." he said.

I looked over at him and he looked concerned.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

I sat on his bed and he grabbed my hand.

"My dad is at the hospital looking for me. He treated me like shit growing up and..." I trailed off but then Denny kissed me.

I deepened it and kept kissing him. I felt the butterflies in my stomach. We pulled apart then looked at each other smiling.

"I felt something." I said.

"Me too." he replied smiling, then kissing me again.

I kissed back. I felt butterflies whenever he kissed me.

I grabbed the back of his neck pulling him closer, if possible.

We pulled away with butterflies and wide smiles. "That was.." I trailed off.

"Awesome." He finished with a smile. I nodded with a smile as well.

"Thank you." I said.

"For what?" He asked.

"Kissing me. It made me feel better." I said truthfully.

"No problem. I enjoy kissing you." He said jokingly. I laughed with a little smile.

"Thanks." I replied, then leaving.

I heard monitors going off, then I turned around, running back and Miranda ran back in the room.

"Denny, can you hear me?" I asked.

He nodded.

"he needs a heart!" Bailey yelled which caused people to run out of the room.

"Marry me." I heard Denny say.

"What?" I asked in shock.

"Marry me." He said.

"I promise, I will as soon as you get out of this." I replied.

"We got a heart!" Alex yelled running in.

"Get him prepped for surgery!" Miranda yelled.

-------------------------------------------

Danielle was watching the surgery, then she saw Denny's new heart beating. She about hit the floor. She heard the door open and saw Lily crying.

"Why are you crying?" Danielle asked her daughter.

"Is he gonna die?" She hiccuped.

"No, honey he got a new heart." Danielle said smiling.

"Is he gonna be my daddy?" She asked.

"Yes, honey." Danielle replied.

"Can I be the flower girl?" She asked.

"yes, you can be the flower girl." Danielle told her laughing.

---------------------------

"He's out of surgery doing well. He's resting and in recovery." Miranda told me.

"thank you Miranda." I said with a smile.

I walked into the recovery branch looking for Denny.

I seen him, asleep. I smiled and walked over there quietly.

He opened his eyes slightly. His eyes widen when he seen her. I smiled, "Hey.." I said with a smile and sat on his bed.

"Hey" He replied quietly smiling.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Like I just got a new heart." He said with a laugh. I cracked a smile.

"Fair." I said.

He just smiled. "So? When's the wedding?" He asked.

"Woah there eager beaver.." I said with a laugh. "You still need to heal." I added.

"Yeah.. I am a eager beaver. I'm just excited." He said.

I nod. "I understand." I said with a smile. "I'm excited too." I add with a toothy grin.

He just smiled. "You're a beautiful woman." He said caressing her hair. I smiled.

"You're a handsome man." I replied, then kissing him.

"How about an average size wedding." He suggested.

"Yeah, that's fine. Lily wants to be flower girl." I laughed.

"Of course she does." He chuckled.

I laughed along. "So? An average sized wedding.. As long as there is some good cake and i'll be marrying you." I said with a smile.

"God, I love you." He said leaning forward.

"I love you too." I mumble against his lips. "You're the best." I add.

I pat his chest. "Get to feeling better, I will go get Lily." I say getting up. Before I left I seen a smile on his face.

"Lily baby. Denny wants to see you." I say.

"Yay!" She cheered and ran back to the recovery wing with me trailing behind her.

"Be careful though, sweetheart.." I warn as she jumped on Denny's bed.

"Hey, Lily." Denny said.

"Hi!" She exclaimed with a smile.

My world was looking up for the better....
