Marco's P.O.V

The loner girl began to sing.

   "Little do you know
How I'm breaking while you fall asleep
Little do you know
I'm still haunted by the memory
Little do you know
I'm trying to pick myself from piece by piece
Little do you know
I need a little more time
Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside
I've been holding back
For the fear that you might change your mind
I'm ready to forgive you but forgetting is a harder fight
Little do you know
I need a little more time"

Her voice sounded so soft and soothing. I can't remember when the last time I heard something like it before.

   "Away, away
I love you like you've never felt the pain, away
I promise you don't have to be afraid, away
The love you see right here stays so lay your head on me
Little do you know
I know you're hurt while I'm sound asleep
Little do you know
All my mistakes are solely drowning me
Little do you know
I'm trying to make it better piece by piece
Little do you know
I, I love you till the sun dies"

I couldn't help but keep asking questions in my head but the one that kept bugging me the most was; who is she? She kept playing until she messed up on a part. "Ah pixie dust," I heard her say and I stopped recording. I looked at my phone then turned it off. I put it in my pocket and quietly made my way to the exit.

I exited the building and went to my care. I opened the door and sat in the drivers seat and set my bag on the other. I sighed knowing that I wasn't caught then took out my phone and watched the video. Once it stopped I looked over at my bag and noticed that a piece of paper was sticking out.

I unzipped the bag and saw that it was the three questions she wanted me to solve. With determination I set the paper aside and drove home. I parked in the drive way and slung my bag over my shoulder. I clutched the paper in my hand and ran inside and up the stairs.

I set my bag to the side and sat at my desk with the questions and a pencil. "Alright brain, let's make some magic happen," I said and before I knew it, the problems were done. Satisfied, I put the paper into my math folder and went to bed.

*the next day*

I woke up and got ready for school. I grabbed a pop tart and walked out the door. Once I made it to school, I looked around to find the loner girl. Smart people are always at school early so she should be here. I finally found her rummaging through her locker. I walked over and leaned against the locker next to hers.

When she closed the locker, she saw me and jumped a bit before glaring at me and was about to walk off. "Wait," I said and she stopped and turned to face me with a blank expression, "What?" I hand her the paper and she takes it, looking over the problems. She stared wide eyed at the page then looked back at me. "You actually did it?" The loner girl said shocked.

"Aren't I just so good that I got all of them right," I said smoothly. "Oh no, you got these all wrong.." She said then smiled, "but you tried and that's a great start." I smiled then saw my friends walking towards us. "I got to go," I said and walked off. There was just something about her that I've never seen in any other girl. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm excited to go study.
