Without You

Chapter 7

Marco's P.O.V

   I drove home like a mad person. I parked in the parking lot and went inside the house. I saw my mom in the kitchen and looked up at me. I sighed and went back to what she was doing. I looked down and put my hands in my pockets then walked over to her.

   "What," she asked and kept making something. "Mom," I said like how I always used to say before I changed two years ago. That made her pause for a second then she turned around. I ran into her arms and I cried. Marco Diaz, tough as nails was hugging his mother and crying. "I'm sorry," I cried, "About everything, changing into this monster, taking heroine and everything!"

   My mom was frozen and had no words. I felt her wrap her arms around me and comb her fingers through my hair. "Ssshhh...it's ok Marco, I forgive you," she said softly. "B-but why?" I asked. "Because, I love you," she said and I hugged her tighter. "I love you too," I said.

   I let go of her and smiled while wiping my tears away. "I need to go back to school," I said, "there is some other things I need to take care of." "Ok, bye Marco," my mother said smiling like her old cheery self. Before I left the house I ran up stairs and grabbed the heroine and got rid of it. I'm a changed man and it's all thanks to Star Butterfly.

   I drove back to school and found Jackie at her locker. "Hey, we need to talk," I said. "What is it and why did you ditch me?!" She yelled. I was mad now, "I'm breaking up with you. You have been a horrible influence on me and now we are through." I stomped off before she could reply.

   Man, that felt good and a heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders. Now, there is just one more thing to do.

   After school, I went to the library and opened the door to reveal the library. But Star wasn't there.
