Chapter 6

I woke up and looked at the time. It was eleven and I was suppose to be at Core's by noon. Crap. I went to the bathroom and got my dry shampoo. I sprayed it in my hair in all the parts of my hair. I was letting it sit for a bit so I decited to eat some breakfast. I ate a bowl of cearel then checked the time. Eleven thirty. I needed to get ready faster. I ran up stairs and grabbed my clothes. I was wearing a green and yellow crop top; over that was a black leather jacket; red short shorts with a piano belt; I put my hair in side pony since it had grew out; and for shoes I wore black high tops. I looked at the time and it was eleven fifty. I grabbed my bass and headed out the door. When I was walking to Corey's house guys winked at me. I rolled my eyes at them and finally got to Core's groj and opened it. Everyone was there and their mouths dropped. "What?" I asked

"Bad girl look Lanes." Core grinned coming over to me

He leaned in for a kiss. But right then."You guys its not lovey dovey time." Kon said

All Corey was look me in the eyes. He finally kissed my lips and pulled away going back to band practice. "Okay anybody have ideas for lyrics" Kin asked

"Lanes should sing." Everyone looked at me

"I don't know Core." I said

"Come on Lanes I heard you sing before." Corey said

"You should sing Laney it would surprise everyone." Kin pitched in

"Fine but I'll make my own lyrics let's just um hangout well I make um lyrics." I was so nervous

"Okay." They all said

I sat down on the couch and Core sat next to me. I thought for a couple of minutes then thought of the perfect lyrics. I jumped up and Corey looked at me. "Core your still 'singing' tonight." I said as Core smiled

"You got lyrics." Kon said smiling

"Yup its a duet but you guys are still playing tonight." I grinned

"Let's get to it." Core grinned

~The show~

We had just got to the show. I was wearing a black and green mint short dress the top was black and strapless and the mint green and flowy;For shoes I wore black high heels; and my hair had a white lace bow to clip my bangs back. Corey was wearing a black hoody; a red snapback; gray ish jeans with a black belt; a black watch; and black high tops. Kin was wearing a white button up shirt; a blue blazer; black jeans; a plaid dark and light blue bow tie; and black sneakers. Kon was wearing his normal outfit. We headed on the stage and set it up. Our gig was at the high school's valentines day dance. "Everyone can I please have your attention." I looked up and say our princepel smiling. Me and Core were at the punch bowl.

"Grojband is performing a new song." She got off the stage and everyone was cheering louldly. We got on stage and I felt butter flies fly all around my stomach. Core gave me a thumbs up.

"Hello I'm Laney and we are performing a song I wrote." I gulped and pick my bass up.

The music started and I began to sing.

I got some feelings for you I'm not gonna get bored of. But baby you an adventure so let me come and explore you.

We finished and everyone cheered. I smiled at Core and he smiled back.

Finally I updated. Sorry if you read the chapter about a different song Laney sang just get that out of your brain. I think I wrote this chapter better than my other chapters :). I'm getting better at writing. Thanks so much for reading it means a lot to me :). ~Cat
