Chapter Four: DNA

Y/N P.O.V

I got up an hour ago, got dressed and payed rent on the apartment. Now I am heading to the bank I robbed last night because they need the forensic team to figure out how Nightingale, aka me,  got through the door without opening it. Most people would just call in sick and try to avoid the scene but if I don't show up that's going to look very suspicious, and I would also like to see if they could figure it out.

"Hey Y/N." Barry said as I walked to the vault to help.

"Hey Barry so what have you got so far?"

"To be honest, nothing and I think it's going to take a while before me find anything. Even with the two of us." he replied.

"Okay let's get started then."

"Oh, wait I have something that should be able to help us, but I need you to go and get it."

"Alright, where is it?"

"It's at STAR labs. When you get there just say Barry needs the prototype." 

"Got it see you soon."

*Time skip*

I have just got out of the elevator in STAR labs and walk in to the cortex.

"Uh Y/N what are you doing in here?" Cisco asks.

"Oh, I was sent by Barry to get the prototype."

"Got it follow me." Cisco said, motioning for me to follow him. 

"Okay."

"Well Y/N this prototype is very fragile so listen carefully."

*Time skip*

Once Cisco explained how to use the prototype I went back to Barry at the bank, now we're trying to scan the door with it.

"So why doesn't it have a name why is just called prototype?" I asked.

"Cisco is still working on the name."

"Why don't you name it?" I asked.

"Because I'm not good at naming things." he replied.

"Aren't most things named based on what it looks like or what it does?"

"Well, yeah, I suppose they do."

" The prototype scans stuff and tells you how someone did something or how something ended up the way it is and gives you DNA. So why don't you call it.....Nanophontonic Analysis Scanner or NAS for short?"

"Hey! That's a really good name! Thanks Y/N." 

"No problem."

*Beep*

"Looks like the NAS is done.....Looks like we've got some DNA from the suspect, if we're lucky."

"Cool."

'Shit, I have to find a way to get rid of that.'

*Time skip*

"Okay the DNA results should be ready by tomorrow." Barry said, turning his chair to face me.

"Alright, I'm going to go home then. I'll see you tomorrow?" I asked, while picking up my bag

"Of course. Hey, why don't I walk you home tonight? It's quite late and here in Central it's not exactly safe to be walking home alone at night." 

"Sure."

*Time skip*

"Well this is me."I said stopping in front of my apartment building .

"Alright I'll see you tomorrow then." Barry said.

"See you tomorrow." I replied before walking into my building.

When I saw he was gone I quickly dashed upstairs to my apartment and got into my nightingale suit. Once I was in the suit I went to the rooftop.

'Time to get rid of that DNA'
