Love?

I thought I loved you
That you were "the one"
Until you said we were done

so I closed my eyes and left
Realizing you were just another heart theft
Robbing me blind
As I was being stupid
Thinking you were mine

So I made a wall around my heart
To keep out people who try to take me apart
But soon one found a crack
and snuck inside

He found my heart that had no beat
But he tried
And tried
However there was nothing but defeat

Until he realized how to fix it
So he filled and sewed
Completing it with a bow
My being didn't know
So I left for the fear of heart break

As I walked I felt a pulse in my veins
And looked down at my hands
To see where his beating heart remains.
