So, while I was watching YouTube and drawing Washington, I thought of some good tips that others had pointed out.
1. Practice
This is probably the same thing all artists say, but I don't mean to like force yourself to practice. Forcing yourself is more than likely going to make your art look worse to the point where you just give up.
2. Find References
I see very few people point this out, but if you find a couple references, they'll be very helpful. You can grab ideas and hold them to look at.
3. Watch YouTube videos
Watching people draw is really helpful due to them having a completely different style that you. Doing different perspective or drawing that YouTuber could help greatly.
4. Listen to music
I found out that whenever I listen to music, I'm able to draw an expression better than without the song.
These are things that I found helpful.
