Alex barely slept that night. She spent the entire time at Jennifer's side on the couch as the brunette just repeatedly vomited into the bucket beside her the entire night. She felt guilty, she was supposed to be the responsible one since Jennifer is obviously younger than her and of course she began to worry since when you're at the point of vomiting, it's not a good sign.
The sound of retching once again woke Alex up from her not so deep sleep. "Ow." The redhead complained, her hand flew to her neck due to the pain that coursed through it from the way she fell asleep sitting up. "You alright?"
Jennifer lay her head back down and groaned. "What time is it?" Her voice was raspy and groggy, not even bothering to open her eyes to look at Alex.
The older woman held up her left wrist and squinted at her watch. "9:30." Alex was surprised at what time it was because Jennifer last bout of sickness was a good few hours ago.
"Did you let me get hit by a bus or something last night or something?" Jennifer's eyes stayed closed but she tried her best to form a smirk.
"Jennifer you drank basically everything you could buy there." Alex chuckled and stood up with a stretch. She picked up the bucket and the towel which had been thrown over it and took it to the bathroom to clean out.
"Can I ask you how you're so unfazed by vomit?" Jennifer called through to Alex as she placed her hand on her pounding head.
Alex returned into the living room with a laugh and the bucket in her hand. "I have a kid. I've been cleaning it up for four years."
"Point taken."
Alex sat back down and pulled Jennifer's legs into her lap and began running her hands soothingly along her bare skin.
"Hey did I do anything stupid last night?" Jennifer asked with a wince.
"Hmm... not that I can think of. Oh, wait when we were in the taxi, you just kept, like, trying to grope me and the creepy driver kept looking back while I was trying to keep your hands to yourself." Alex laughed, giving Jennifer a playful slap on her leg.
"Oh god I'm such an embarrassment." Jennifer groaned.
"Don't worry about it." Alex reassured with a wink.

Jennifer hated how quick the weekend flew by and now she was back at school. Luckily, she had English and was standing with Dylan, Ally and the rest of the class outside as they awaited Alex's arrival.
"Good morning class, sorry I'm a little late." Alex smiled at the seniors lined up outside her classroom as she unlocked the door, ushering them inside. "Now don't take your usual seats because I've made a seating plan."
There was a chorus of groans from the teenagers.
"Yeah, yeah, life's so hard." Alex mocked with a laugh and walked over to her desk. "Your names are on the desks so you can find your seats." She explained and motioned to the desks.
"Yes!" Jennifer and Dylan gave each other a high five after finding out that they were sitting together and the shorter brunette sent a sly wink towards Alex.
"Alright guys don't get too excited, settle down." Alex grabbed her whiteboard marker off of her desk and began writing on the board. "We're going to be taking a break from Lord of The Flies for now and start writing some personal essays." Alex spun around and tapped the pen in the palm of her hand.
Most of the class protested and Alex gave a sideways glance to Jennifer who was smiling down at the desk. Alex smiled also, thinking Jennifer was excited to finally write a proper essay in class. That was until the redhead realised that Jennifer was too busy using her phone underneath the desk.
