Chapter 2: Meeting My Brother and...Jordan

I was jumping down the stairs. Then when I made it all the way down I looked around for the kitchen.

When I found it I walked in and sat on a stool behind the counter, where Mrs. Angelo was cooking.

"Hi Mrs. Angelo!" I say, "Oh please call me Sarah, dear." She says smiling sweetly at me,

"Could I help?" I ask, "Sure thing, you can cut the tomatoes and lettuce for the salads." Mrs. Angelo... I mean Sarah says giving me a knife, cutting board, and some lettuce first.

I start cutting the lettuce and making small talk with Sarah. "So...where is Carter?" I ask,

"Your brother? Oh he's at school, he'll be back soon though." She says, I nod. "Did you miss him?" She asks,

"Uhhh yea I mean he's me twin brother...honestly I never really thought about it." I say,

"I know that he missed you, when he was little he would always ask where his little sister was...but you couldn't blame him because it was his first time not having you there." She says,

"What do you mean?" I ask, "Well you two were twins. You never left each other's side, Until the divorce. so you two were together for 5 years nonstop." She says, Wow...

"Does he know that I'm here?" I ask, she was thinking for a second. "Nope, but it'll be a good surprise." She says smiling at me, she turns around looking for a pot.

"Hey Skylar could you please get the carrots out of the fridge?" She asks,

"Yes ma'am." I say, "Sky?" Someone asked behind me, I jump. I looked behind me and seen two boys around my age.

"Sorry? Do I know you?" I ask, "Sorry it's just- nothing. Anyways I'm Carter." The boy says, he has dirty blonde hair and brown eyes like my mother, I stare at him.

"Carter?" I ask, "Oh. Carter you're home..." Sarah says nervously, "Yea." He says, "Carter, this is Skylar...your twin." Sarah says, 

"What?" He asks, "Skylar is your twin." Sarah says again, "Yea, I heard you the first time...just wow." He says,

"I'm going to use the bathroom I'll be right back." The other boy says walking away, "So why did you leave?" Carter asks, "I'll go too." Sarah says,

"I didn't have a choice." I say, "Yea you did, you should've stayed here with me instead of leaving with mom." He says,

"I was only five Carter!" I say, "Still! You could have visited!" He says,

"By than I already had a new life!" I say, "Yea but with out me...I missed you...I'm so happy your here." He says,

Sarah walks in, "I heard the whole thing. And I'm happy you missed her because she's going to be going to school with you!" Sarah says,

"What?" He asks, "She's gonna go to school with you and Jordan!" Sarah says,

"Who's Jordan?" I ask, "He's that nice young man in the restroom." Sarah says, "Sky is going to school with...me?" Carter asks,

"Is that a problem?" Sarah asks, "No...no..." He says, "I'm back, did you miss me? Of course you did. Who wouldn't?" The boy, I'm guessing Jordan says coming back into the kitchen.

I look at him with discussion. "Who you looking at beautiful?" Jordan asks,

"Someone please pour holly water on this boy." I say, Carter laughs but Jordan glares at him, Carter stops laughing and chuckles.

"Who are you?" I ask, "Your worst nightmare." Jordan says, "Your Barney?" I ask,

"No." He says glaring at me, "Than you are not my worst nightmare." I say, "Carter I really do not like your sister." Jordan says I roll my eyes,

"The feeling is mutual." I say rolling my eyes, "Do you ever shut up?" Jordan asks, "Nope." I say,

"Guys could y'all just shut up?" Carter asks covering his ears, "Carter shut up." Jordan says, "You have no right too tell him too shut up!" I say,

"Well you don't either!" Jordan says, "I'm his sister! No I'm his twin!" I say,

"Well you don't act like it!!!" Jordan says, "UGH!" I screeched, "Ow!" Jordan says covering his ears,

"Oh shut up!" I say, "You know your a real bitch." He says, "So are you!" I say,

"You two are both bitch's okay? Okay." Carter says, "Carter just shut up....your not in this conversation." I say,

"Well I just made him in this conversation." Jordan says, "Jordan shut up, nobody cares." I say,

"Well...at least I don't have to worry about you two falling for each other, like in the movies I guess..." Carter says,

"Never in a million years." I say, "I wouldn't kiss her if she was the last person on the planet." Jordan says,

"Good!" I yell, "Good!" He yells back, "You fight like a girl." I say, than I walk out of the kitchen before he could say another word too me.

I got in the shower, than brushed my teeth. When there was a knock at the door, I opened it. "Hey Sky..." My brother says,

"Hey. Did the bitch leave?" I ask, "Yea...and I wanted too tell you...that in my school it's...probably going too be different from your old school." He says,

"Oh I know..." I say, "Okay...I just didn't want you too be all surprised...oh and everyone is snobby so...bye!" He says than walks out my room shutting my door,

Okay just great...I'm going too a school with a bunch of snobby rick kids...great..just great. Note the sarcasm.

It's going too be a adventure in school tomorrow. I can't help but wonder if I will have at least one friend.

Honestly I would rather have no friends. Because I know that all friends end up stabbing you in the back. I know this because of experiences...

"Hello dear, may I come in?" Sarah asks knocking on my door, I know it's her because she's the only person that says dear.

I opened the door and she walked in holding a plate. "What's this?" I ask, "Well I figured you wouldn't want too eat down stairs with the boys." She says,

"Oh...thank you." I say, "It's no problem! I'm just doing my job." She says smiling sweetly at me.

"I better go...bye dear. Oh and school starts at 8am tomorrow." Sarah says, "Okay." I say, she walks out of my room and goes down stairs.

I sigh, tomorrow's going too be a very long day...
