               He thought her hair down her shoulders was the most beautiful sight in the world. He wasn't wrong. She was so breathtaking some people looked away to check if she was real.

               Her hair was a rich shade of mahogany. It flowed in waves to adorn her glowing, porcelain-like skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes and accentuated with black makeup, were a bright, hazel and seemed to brighten the world. A straight nose, full dark lips, she seemed the picture of perfection.

               But she wasn't

Some people only notice what they want to see.

               People don't like to accept the fact that such beauty could only be in the movies or books. 

               They don't look between the lines, between her forged half melon smile.

They see what they want. 

People do what is most convenient for them, picking up what they want.

               Beca was more than a Barbie doll with brown hair.

Her beauty, they thought, was a piece of cake.

               Beautiful on the outside, but not so much on the inside
