You groaned as you heard the cries of your child once more.

"I'll get him." Draco said, his voice heavy with sleep as he pushed himself off of the bed. He stumbled out of the room and into the room of your child's. You nodded, groaning out your thanks as you turned onto your side, pulling the covers up as you snuggled further into your bed.

Five minutes later and you still couldn't fall asleep, the cries of your child tugging at your heart.

With a sigh, you rolled out of bed, yawning as you stood up, using your wand to pull the hair out of your face and into a bun. You crossed the bedroom to the door, the sounds of your husband trying to soothe your child falling in your ears. You rubbed your eyes blearily as you walked to the room next to yours, opening the door.

"Sorry, but Scorpius doesn't seem to like me very much right now." Draco apologised as he saw your tired form in the doorway.

You smiled at him, reaching out your arms as you walked towards him, "That's alright. Hey, bud, come here." You soothed as you took your son from Draco.

"I'll get the milk," Draco touched your elbow gently as he passed you, his feet pounding lightly on the stairs.

Scorupius' body shook under you hand with every sob and you rubbed his back as you tried to sooth him, muttering to him quietly. Scorpius' fist grabbed your shirt as you bounced slightly, though his cries were beginning to die down.

"Did you have a nightmare, bud?" You asked quietly, continuing to rub his back. You turned to the door, where Draco had been standing, a soft smile on his face.

"Have I ever told you, that I love you?" Draco asked as he approached you, passing you the bottle.

You smiled as you adjusted Scorpius, cradling him in your arm as you pressed the milk bottle to his lips. "Not nearly as often enough."

Draco grinned as he pressed a kiss to your temple, resting his hand on his son's head, gently rubbing his thumb against Scorpius' forehead. Draco withdrew as he went to sit on the sofa next to the cot, gesturing for you to sit next to him.

You walked over and sat next to him, leaning into his side as he draped an arm around your shoulders. You adjusted yourself slightly so you could hold Scorupius comfortably.

After a while, Scorpius moved the bottle from his mouth, promptly beginning to cry again. You threw back your head and groaned slightly, taking the bottle from Scorpius' hands.

Draco chuckled, "I'll take him."

You passed Scorpius to Draco, letting him pat his son on the back as you stood to place the bottle away.

You trudged down the stairs, yawning as you padded into the dark kitchen. You placed the bottle in the sink, unscrewing the top so you wouldn't have to later. Deciding to clean it in the morning, you turned to walk back into the corridor. Your foot squished something which let out a loud screech.

You jumped away and glanced down. Despite the darkness, you were able to make out a small squishy ball. You rolled your eyes at yourself, picking up the toy and placing it on the table before you made your way out of the room and up the stairs.

You paused at the door, smiling softly as you glanced at your husband. Draco's head rested on the back of the sofa, his arm curled protectively around Scorpius, who was silent as he watched his father with large, calm eyes. You walked over to Draco, and picked up Scorpius, placing him back into his cot.

You pulled your wand out of your hair and waved it over the cot. A thin stream of light left the tip of your wand, separating into stars as they began to mimic the position of the stars in the sky. Scorpius cooed as he reached up for the stars. You laughed quietly, lowering your wand. The constellations moved with it, the stars twinkling around Scorpius as he gazed around in wonder.

A hand reached out and pointed to a small constellation, "That's your star, Scorpius." Draco muttered.

Scorpius giggled, wrapping his hand around Draco's finger.

"Did I wake you?" You glanced up at him.

Draco shook his head as he sat down on the other side of the cot, rubbing his thumb against Scorpius' hand.

You copied Draco's movements, pulling the stool closer to the cot before sitting down.

"That's your father's constellation," You pointed, laughing slightly as Scorpius attempted to grab it.

You yawned as you placed arm on the frame, lowering your head. Draco copied your movements, shooting an accusing glare at you after he yawned. You smiled tiredly as you watched Scorpius continue to play with the stars, waving his hand and watching them dance out of his way before returning to their position.

As your son continued to play in the cot, you eventually dozed off, Draco smiling at your sleeping frame before falling asleep himself. Scorpius laughed gleefully as he finally grabbed the constellation of his father's.
