Carrie got a spot on Star Wars as the smart/sassy princess (Leia Organa). That soon (after the release of A New Hope) made her a pop culture icon.
During the filming of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, Fisher thought that she didn't exactly fit or belonged in with the other actors when they would go out to lunch, while in their costumes, with each other. And during the film, she said in her journal that she felt, "insecure and sad". Well now, "Carrie Fisher was one of a kind, excellent, and brilliant" said Harrison Ford (Han Solo) after her death. She is as famous as they get (Not quoted).
During the filming, Carrie Fisher met Harrison Ford (Han Solo). Carrie Fisher started a relationship (In the movies, and maybe a little outside the filming) with Harrison Ford as friends. (So far....)
Fisher had a mental illness. She struggled with bipolar disorder and drug addiction. But she didn't admit that right away during the filming in 1977.
