"Hey! I never told you to leave!" I heard the smile in her voice as her grip on my wrist tightened
I couldn't bring myself to look at her, after everything that had happened. Without turning back I began to leave the room
"Look at me, Steve." She said quietly hurt seeping into her voice
"Why did you do it?" I asked still not facing her
"What?" she asked
"Why the hell did you take the bullet for me?" I said turning to face her
"Well... for starters I knew it was a tracking point rifle and those things leave a nasty mark, so why ruin that gorgeous body of yours with a disgusting bullet hole?" she replied stifling a smile
"Natasha I'm serious, answer the question and don't lie!" I said sitting down next to her and burying my face in my hands
"you would've done the same for me" she said staring at the ceiling
"Yeah... yeah Nat I would've," I confirmed looking up and squeezing her hand giving her a small smile
"So you really think I have a gorgeous body?" I continued smirking
"Oh! bite me Rogers" she groaned rolling her eyes
"Just tell me where sunshine" I replied winking
"Since when did you get so smooth, Rogers?" she asked laughing
I mumbled something incoherently instantly pulling my baseball hat lower in an effort to hide my face
"Aww did I make you blush?" Nat said teasing
I gave no response
"Oh my God I did!" she said laughing uncontrollably
Suddenly the door burst open and in tumbled the Avengers
"how selfish of you Steve! Keeping Nat all to yourself!" Tony said grinning
"Oh Shut up Stark!" I replied rolling my eyes unable to suppress the sheepish smile that graced my face
"yeah sure real considerate guys! While you two were busy sexing it up in here, we were worried sick!"
"yeah...Thor ate a cardboard coffee cup!" Wanda said staring weirdly at Thor as Pietro snickered
"Well! what else was I supposed to do?" Thor asked looking at me
"Throw it out?" Nat said for the first time since everyone entered
And just like that we all were back to being one big messed up family

I quickened my pace as I passed the kitchen and entered the living room, I hadn't had a run-in with any of the other avengers and I wasn't planning on having one anytime soon, I was just about to exit the living room a ring for the elevator when I suddenly heard the crinkling of cellophane followed by a voice
"Who are those for?" Thor asked wagging his eyebrows at the red roses in my hands as he munched on a smores pop tart
I mentally groaned I was so close to leaving without any confrontation
"If those are for Nat yellow would be a more suitable color," Tony said smirking as he hopped up from behind the bar
"What are you guys talking about?" I asked annoyed
