I woke up to the sound of my blaring alarm, I groaned as I rolled over and hit the snooze, before I realized that I had to get ready for dinner with Steve...it felt odd saying or thinking that I was going out for dinner with Steve.

I cast the thought out of my head as I proceeded to check my phone, I had a couple of texts from the gang:

Tony: 

Hey!                                                                                                                                                                                       

I heard about your little dinner date with Cap tonight, I swear last time I checked you hated him... you kissed, didn't you? 😏

Steve: 

Hey!

 I kinda got your digits from the faster Maximoff... 

In retrospect, he shouldn't leave his phone lying around charging where innocent bystanders can just ask JARVIS to unlock it and give you whatever information you want. 

We're still getting together tonight Wear something fancy :)

Pietro: 

Um... don't get mad but I kinda gave cap your number don't

kill me, please!!

 In my defense JARVIS gave it to him I'm so sorry Nat :(

Wanda: 

Are you ok? 

Pietro said you weren't answering your phone.

Thor: 

Natasha answer your phone!

Clint:

 Are you ok?!? Don't ignore us! Please.

I chuckle to myself as I look at the long list of missed calls on my phone from Wanda, Pietro, Clint and Thor I quickly type out message to all of them that I'm fine and I was just asleep in my room

I sighed and considered bailing on Steve because thanks to Tony, now it seemed too much like a date and given Steve's current relationship status the very idea of this whole 'dinner date' made me sick to my stomach. I groaned again as I realized that there was no way out if I bailed on Steve tonight he'd just try to make plans another time. He was persistent like that so might as well get it over with quickly, kind of like ripping off a bandage.

I quickly texted Tony telling him that we hadn't kissed or even hugged for that matter and that Steve had set up the whole thing when he realized that his fiancée had dinner plans with her ex. To which he promptly replied:

Tony:

 You seem to be stuck in a rather interesting predicament...
