Haiku is a major form of Japanese verse.
It is written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables.
It is rich in evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons.
Senryu is structurally the same as haiku but is usually about human nature, often described in an ironic or satiric vein.
This a collection featuring the two.
Enjoy :))
