Faded ~ Barbara

Barbara slowly stood up. The others looked at her surprised.

"It's worth a shot," she said and went over to where M'gann was just standing. Dick smiled at her. "You're next Wonder Boy."

"We'll see," Dick said. Barbara whispered the song to Artemis and Artemis nodded, putting in a different karaoke CD. Barbara took a deep breath as the music started playing.

"You were the shadow to my light. Did you feel us?" The others just sat there watching in awe, while Dick smiled.

"Another star, you fade away. Afraid our aim is out of sight. Wanna see us, alight

"Where are you now?" Barbara sang and it seemed she looked directly at Dick. Everyone knew that she loved Dick, but he was with Zatanna.

"Where are you now? Where are you now?" Dick looked to the ground.

"Was it all in my fantasy? Where are you now? Were you only imaginary? Where are you now?" Barbara sang with passion.

"Atlantis. Under the sea. Under the sea. Where are you now? Another dream. The monster's running wild inside of me. I'm faded, Barbara looked over to see Zatanna also looking at the ground.

"I'm faded. So lost, I'm faded. I'm faded. So lost, I'm faded. These shallow waters never met what I needed. I'm letting go a deeper dive. Eternal silence of the sea. I'm breathing ,alive" Barbara sang and closed her eyes."Where are you now? Where are you now?"

"Under the bright but faded lights. You've set my heart on fire. Where are you now? Where are you now? Where are you now?"  Dick got up and went over to Zatanna, and Bart smiled.

So lost, I'm faded ," Barbara finished the song and the rest of the team clapped. She blushed and went back over to sit next to M'gann and Connor. Dick went over to her and whispered something. They got up and walked out of the room.

"What happened?" Cassie asked Zatanna.

"We broke up. He said he loved Barbara so I let him go. No big deal. Barbara's like  a sister to me," Zatanna said. The others gawked at the words just spoken and everyone got quiet.

"Who's next?" Bart finally said.
