'i love you' she says
but it's tearing her apart.

being with you tore her apart in more ways than she could fathom. you, and all the baggage you carried held her back like a noose around her neck. she knew it was there, but never acknowledged it because she loves you. she loved you.

'i love you' she says
but you're the burden that's weighing her down.

hindering her ability to become the woman of her dreams, a woman with goals and ambitions yet she can't seem to let you go. she knows what's best, for you and her. but there are intensities that you couldn't handle, and she would never have you endure that. not after everything you've been through. it isn't healthy for either of you; holding onto this false hope that things would go back to the way they were was like watching a rose die. and with time, expecting it to be as beautiful as it once was.

she's going to grow tired. to the point where her life if not even hers anymore, and every decision she makes is in complements of you, whether it benefits her or not.

to the point where she loved you, when she didn't even love herself.

'i love you' she says
'but i have to let you go.'

- in which she chooses herself
