(A/N So like yeah, I didn't get any comments on the last update so I'm just going to assume that it sucked and you all hated it so I hope this update is better!! Xx)

Maya’s POV

It’s been about a month after graduation. Everyone is doing great. Nina and Zayn are still on their road trip. I get a call almost everyday from Nina with her telling me about the trip. Zayn and her have been to at least three states so far. Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Everytime they go somewhere she calls me to tell me about what they saw. Like when they were in Ohio they went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In Indiana they went to the Indianapolis Zoo, and when they finally got to Chicago Zayn insisted on the two of them going to Lego World. They are honestly living it up.

Layla is doing well. She’s mostly in and out. With her and Harry moving in together she has to stay in Connecticut a little more so she can find a job. I think she has found one though. It’s in retail, so she says that she will get amazing discounts on clothes and stuff. She’s really excited. I can tell whenever she comes back in town that she’s happy to be moving in with Harry and starting her own life with him. I’m happy for them.

As for me? Oh I’ve been stressed out of my mind. Planning a wedding is much more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Niall has been helping the best that he can but right now he’s in Texas. He and his father have been looking at apartments down there. I’m supposed to go and meet them next week but I still have to find a church for our wedding.

I’ve already looked at three and hated them. They were just… Not what I was looking for. Niall seems to think every church we step into is amazing, so he’s no help. I’m up and getting ready to go look at another church today. My mom is in town for a few days so she and Niall’s mom are helping me. I slip on my shoes and grab my things before walking out the house to meet my mom in the car. As I’m opening the door my phone rings.

“Hello?” I speak tossing my purse in the backseat.

“Hey babe.” Niall speaks and I smile.

“Hey.”

“What are you doing?”

“I am on my way with my mom to meet your mom at a church she found.” I pick at my nails and listen to Niall laugh.

“Still haven’t found one yet?”

“Just not one that I can see us getting married in. I don’t want it to be huge but it can’t be too small either.” I sigh.

“I know. I trust you will find one.”

“Hopefully… So what are you doing?”

“I am about to leave the hotel with dad to continue our apartment hunting.” He groans and I laugh.

“Not going well?”

“It’s just he seems to have a different idea of what the apartment should look like, and where it should be. And even though I really like that first place we saw, the one that I sent you the picture of…”

“Mhm.” I hum in agreement.

“He seems to think it’s too small. I keep telling him that it’s just you and me living there regardless, but he doesn’t want to listen.” He sighs and I nod.

“Well maybe when I get there I can persuade him to see our side, yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“Well I got to go. We are pulling in front of the church. I will send you pictures.”

“Yeah, ok. Bye. Love you.”

“Love you too.”

We hang up and my mom parks the car. We step out and I see Maura already standing outside the doors. I look at the church and nod. It’s big. Like huge. Just like every other place we’ve seen and I’ve come to the conclusion that there are no small churches or cathedrals in Maine.

“Maya.” Nialls mom smiles and gives me a hug.

“Hi Maura.”

“Now I know it’s big…”

“Yeah.” I sigh running my fingers through my hair.

“But it’s really pretty on the inside and out.” She motions and I look around nodding my head.

“It is.”

The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. It really is a gorgeous cathedral. Maura takes my hand and walks us inside. We are greeted by the priest with handshakes. My mom nods her head along with Maura as he speaks about the history of the place. He shows us around and I must say it is nice.

“Do you mind if I take some pictures to send to my fiance?” I ask, pulling out my phone and he shakes his head.

“Of course not dear.”

I smile and take a few pictures for Niall. I get a picture of the entrance, the aisles, the pews, the lights and the area where the dressing for the wedding would be. I put my phone away and look around the cathedral once more, but by myself. I nod to everything I see and make my decision. When I walk back toward the front I see my mother and future mother-in-law talking to the priest and laughing at something. I clear my throat and they all look at me.

“So?” My mom asks and I sigh.

“Well I have to see what Niall says, but I think this is it.” I grin and the two women run over to me wrapping me in a hug.

“Babe!” I hear Niall yell and look around finding him.

I see Niall and his dad and run over to the two. Niall pulls me into a hug, pressing his lips to mine. I laugh in the kiss and he grins pulling back. I hug Bobby and he kisses my cheek.

“How was your flight?” Bobby asks, while we wait for my luggage.

“It was good. I slept for most of it.” I chuckle and they do the same. “Oh it’s that one.”

Bobby grabs my single bag and tosses it over his shoulder. We walk out of the airport and into the rental car the two of them have been using. Niall takes the backseat, while I sit in the front. It doesn’t take us too long to get to the hotel they are staying in. Luckily they have separate bedrooms. Where Bobby is on the second floor Niall and I are on the third. Niall takes my bag and we get off the elevator and walk to his room. I sit on the bed and lay back yawning.

“You’re tired?” He asks laughing and I nod.

“You know the whole jet lag thing.”

“Yeah.” He lays down next to me and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me into his chest. “You know I really do like the church you chose. It’s gorgeous.”

“Well you should thank your mom because she found it.” I smile playing with his hand. “We have to make our guest list.”

“But I thought we already did.”

“We have to finalize it.” I shake my head and he nods.

“Right. Well then…” Niall pulls out his phone, and goes to his notes. “Let’s finalize.”

“I don’t really like this one Bobby.” I shake my head and he groans.

“It’s nice. Plus, it’s not too far from the school.”

“Yeah, but it’s three bedrooms. It’s only going to be me and Niall.”

“Niall and I, babe.” Niall corrects me, while staring at his phone. I turn around to glare at him.

“Shut it.” I speak and he ‘zips’ his mouth shut. “Niall and I really like the first one you two saw. It’s perfect size. And it’s by stores and stuff so I can work. Plus it’s only ten minutes from the school.” I try to persuade him and he looks down in defeat.

“Alright.” Bobby mutters and I smile.

“I sent the list to your mom.” Niall speaks and I nod.

“Good. Invites will go out in a day.”

“Yup.” He smiles and kisses me. “Now lets go look at our apartment.”

(A/N Ok so that's the church on the side and idk I just thought it was really pretty! Leave some feedback pretty please!! Drop a comment, vote, share and all that other shizz!! Xx)
