Due to " psychological damage from the akuma attack" Adrien and Marinette were send in a train back to Paris. The trip was about 2h so the two youngsters had plenty of time to talk. Marinette had insisted she was fine and both had hid their wounds. The teacher had told them to go back home and rest. None of the parents had been alerted since they weren't any " severe damage".

Marinette and Adrien sat next to each other, the two seats in front of them remaining unused.

"What are we going to do? Marinette asked, if my parents see me like this, they're going to freak out."

" It's okay, Adrien whispered, you can stay at my place until the school trip ends. That gives us 2 days one night to recover before my dad comes back from his business trip.

Marinette smiled. She trusted him. He had made a mistake or two but she loved him. he drove her crazy. She couldn't possibly made at him. He had help a damsel in distress. She was more mad about the fact that he had trusted a stranger instead of his girlfriend but she didn't have the energy to fight. Adrien laid her head on Marinette's shoulder. She stiffened. She had lost a lot of blood so even forming a sentence was tiring. She closed her eyes then hopped everything would be okay.

"Marinette, we have arrived."

Marinette painfully opened her eyes. Her lids felt heavy and white spots were covering her vision.

Adrien helped her up and walked towards his house. Fortunately the train station was only a few meters away from the Agreste mansion. They arrived in the huge entrance. Marinette looked amazed threw her sleepy eyes. Adrien dropped all the bags and luggage and took Marinette in his arms. He walked up the stairs and entered his room.

He then gently layed Marinette on the bed.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

She nodded but didn't answer. She looked like she had a hard time breathing.

He risked an eye out but immediately closed it. Marinette was even paler than usual. Deep, dark circles had formed under her eyes. He took her frail hand in his and squeezed it so tight he could feel her pulse. It was really slow, like her whole body was freezing away.

He closed his eyes and remembered how this had all started. He remembered how crazy ladybug drove him. She was brave, sassy, confident, funny...

He remembered how he had fallen for Marinette. Slowly sinking in sweet love. She was adorable. Her shiny blue eyes, her adorable smile, her joyful laughter...

He remembered every kiss they had exchanged, the sweet taste of her skin when he playfully kissed her neck...

Her warm hand on his cheek. Her thin fingers, tangling into his hair. Her soft lips on the tip of his nose.

An image of Marinette, smiling, popped up in his mind. He felt his heart throb.

This was all gone. He would never see her again. He would never hear her sweet giggle again. She was gone!

And it was all his fault. She had been played by Michelle. He was the only reason Marinette had been akumatized. He was the only reason her hand felt cold...

But it was all too late.

Marinette was gone. He would never see her again. The image of Marinette smiling, faded away, like burned by sadness and anger against himself.

A small tear fell on the blanket. Adrien layed his head on Marinette's stomach. She was breathing anymore. A flood of sadness invaded his body. A second tear fell out of his shiny eyes, a third, a fourth...
