Her eyes welled up as they took her sword.

She bit her lower lip when they took her badges of honour.

She balled up her fists and held back her tears when they shingled her hair.

But when they cut of her wings, a single tear escaped its prison to embrace the tiny scar on her quivering lips, her hands trembled and her knees became weak as she watched them take it all away.

She couldn't take it anymore, she couldn't stand strong and tall, and her legs gave way from under her and then there was nothing but darkness.
