What we look for in books
Is a fairytale.
It is also what we look for
In our lives.
We care about looks
Because in books everyone is pretty.
So we go to the store
Buying clothes to make us look this way.
But why are we even trying
Searching for the special someone.
Maybe it's all just a dream
And he doesn't even exist.
And then we go into denying.
Hoping that he lives somewhere else.
But we have to start to scream
To convince people that simply:
There just isn't someone for everybody.
Some of us will be left alone.
