26. A delusion

"Oh, hello you there.
What are you looking for?
Maybe some cookies, hey,
Do you want to feel fear?

Because I bet you've never felt it
Like I did back in the days
When every day was a struggle
Keep living or....oh, dear."

When he steps in the room
Her eyes go blank completely
Her mouths shut
And her mind drifting away.

He just stands there
Watching her amusingly
Smiling to himself before
Turning away and leaving.

Without saying a word
The door locks behind him
Leaving the poor woman
Who is losing her mind.

She snaps back into life
Eyes full of fear now
It's her defending mechanism
To not show anything at all.

My lovely Unicorns!
I hope you like my poems so far.
This one is a little different though.
If you noticed, there's a backup story here and if you haven't found it, let me tell it to you.

A woman is locked in a room where she is abused in every way by her capturer. She's been locked up for a while now and she has developed a defense mechanism. She shuts down when she hears the man so she can't feel anything he'd do to her.
She is slowly starting to lose her mind. That's why she is talking to a ghost in this poem, because she feels lonely and have nobody to talk to.
