Although the two were not close that did not stop Reggie from being the flirtatious, annoying person he was. His feelings closed off for the girl next door but in front of his friends he treated her like any girl.

Compliments and comments were called to her everyday by the same people. It's high school and apparently boys will always be boys, which is highly idiotic. No matter how hard it hurt him, it was somehow a way for him to try to get over her. Reggie needed to find distractions from the girl that would never be with him.

Wait, Reggie Mantle being insecure? That's ridiculous. Yes girls throw themselves at him but Reggie only wants one.

Sophomore year, that's when he wanted things to change. Reggie practically made an oath to himself to finally go after the girl, to finally have a relationship with her.

Even though they weren't the couple people would see happening, Reggie would make it happen any other way. The years he spent not trying, not trying to get close to her, ignoring his parents wishes of them being together would finally stop.

Alexa Waters will finally be his. And Reggie was certain he would see her before school started.
