Mephistor's POV
~
His electric blue eyes scan each individual sitting before him with an intensity that nearly sends the grown men on their knees.

He specifically targets a man directly across the table who is scribbling something down on a form in front of him.

"Anything new Gibbs?" The new king's tone is irritated.

He couldn't believe that he had lost her. The one thing that he needed had just slipped through his hands like finely grained sand.

He was angry at everyone and everything, but, most of all he was angry with himself. He had set up the finest precautions to make sure that she couldn't leave him, but, nevertheless, she had escaped. He wanted to be angry at her too but he couldn't bring himself to imagine taking any action against the one thing that held the power to destroy him and make him feel whole.

"We have made several attempts locate the missing vehicle, Sire-" The old vampire speaks after nearly chocking on his words. It nearly made Mephistor laugh at how easily he was able to scare these men who considered themselves to be superiors.

Mephistor raises an eyebrow as he waits for the man to continue, even though he is sure he will hear the same response that has been given to him for the past few days.

Gibbs quickly gulps.

"We have not yet found the girl-"

Mephistor's eyes come alive in anger. Even though he knew that was the obvious response he couldn't stop himself from wanting to hop over the table and rip Gibb's throat out.

Whatever was happening to him was growing stronger. He thought back to the previous nights when he would leave castle grounds to hunt and kill anything he could find in order to keep his beast at bay. Deaths were beginning to become a prominent issue in Illinkus as officials desperately tried to figure out the identity of the serial killer. Mephistor was smart. He never left any finger prints or evidence that could testify against him. It's not like anyone would even attempt to testify against their king anyway.

He also left so little left of the carcasses intact after his rendezvous that the bodies were hardly identifiable.

The thought of going out to slaughter caused a small smile to appear across his face which he quickly threw away. Every time he thought about violence he could feel his eyes burn with red venom that flooded in from the black veins underneath his eyes.

He couldn't help his reaction. He couldn't control when the beast appeared.

The only thing he knew for sure was that the beast liked to think about Alliana as much as he did, and, when he thought about her, he could feel the control slowly slipping back into his body.

Fück. There was nothing he wouldn't do to have her in his embrace and wearing his mark proudly on her neck.

He wasn't sure whether or not that was him or the beast talking.

"Is that all?" Mephistor is already bored of this conversation. He wanted to go back outside and terrorize his kingdom before the beast let loose and murdered everyone in this room.

That thought was starting to become more entertaining every second.

"No, Sire-" This sparks Mephistor's interest slightly. "There is something else."

"Well, let's hear it then."

"The man, Mr. Burke, is beginning to loose his spirits from our interrogation." A few men around the room crack a laugh at that."We should have information on the whereabouts of her and her companions soon."

Anger flares within Mephistor's eyes once again.

Companions

Klaus

That bästard!

He had a hard time believing that the man he had come to know as his friend since childhood had so quickly abandoned everything for his woman.

He had no idea why he was included in this mess, but, he would have an answer. He would not rest until his Al was back at his side as his queen. Until then, he would slaughter and interrogate anyone he had to in order to find out information.

"This is good news." Mephistor continues as though is isn't having a war within his mind. "I expect it to be even better the next time we meet."

Gibbs nods quickly and returns to scribbling down on his form.

"Does anyone else have anything that they would like to share?"

The other men and women in the room look around at one another. One women raises her hand.

"Your majesty."

Mephistor nods in her direction.

"We have new knowledge of the second companion to Alliana Nixon."

"And what would that be?"

"His name is Caleb Walker, Sire-" She begins."He is a 23 year old member of The Resistance."

Mephistor raises an eyebrow at the newfound information.

"He was a part of the special operation sent to take you out."

Mephistor growls. The beast is beginning to awaken from his subconscious.

"The same special operation that included Ryder Murdock?"

The woman nods.

Upon learning the secret Ryder had been hiding from him Mephistor had been furious. Ryder had been his loyal companion, at least, he thought he had been his companion. Not only had Mephistor been betrayed by his childhood best friend, but he had also been betrayed by someone he trusted.

As for Alliana, he had not yet decided whether or not he felt betrayed by her. The beast refused to even entertain such an idea, but, the man, was still undecided.

Had she left him willingly? Or had she been forced to abandon him by Klaus?

He craved the answer to that question almost as much as he craved her. It angered Mephistor that his Al had not come running to him for safety after the attack began. He would have protected her. If he hadn't had guards ushering him off of the platform and into a secured back room as soon as the first shot rang out, he would he went out and grabbed her himself. Instead, he had ordered Dimitri to bring her to him.

Unfortunately, Dimitri had failed. Mephistor smirked. Dimitri had already suffered for his mistake.

The beast clawed up and into Mephistor's mind yet again. Feeding off of the negative energy that seemingly radiated off of him in waves.

A few thoughts of his sweet Al managed to subdue the beast for a little while longer. But as he had learned well these past few days, when the beast is hungry, it will not settle until it has been fed.

Mephistor slowly pushes himself up from his chair at the head of the room.

"Thank you for meeting with me." He says. He can feel the veins beginning to show underneath his eyes but no one around shows anything close to a reaction. The venom seeps into his eyes and he can feel the vibrant red glaring.

He begins to walk out of the room with a smile of his face full of large and venomous fangs.

He doesn't pay any attention to the reactions of the men and women around him.

He has already compelled them to forget anytime he happens to slip up.
