A/N;
Sorry this update took forever. I had to study for a huge test for a few days and it always took away my Wattpad time! So enjoy!!!

(America's POV)
Silvia was talking to us about the new project we were going to be working on. However, I couldn't concentrate. Earlier in the day, someone had knocked on my bedroom door. It was a familiar voice. When he opened the door, I was a little shocked. Aspen, blood and flesh and all, had come to the castle because of the new troop supply. I didn't know what to say to him, so I pushed him out the door and started to get ready for lunch. When I had been done getting ready, Aspen was gone. At some point, I was going to have to tell him that I didn't have feelings for him anymore and that I love Maxon now. Aspen was just, well, let's say, a stepping stool to get me to Maxon. Aspen had kinda led me to Maxon because he was the one who encouraged me to sign up. That's when Silvia barks,
"Okay! Listen up! I have the team listings. The groups will consist of 2-7 girls depending on which banquet you are assigned to.
"Lady Elise, Lady Tiny, Lady Celeste, And Lady Olivia you are all a group." Elise groans slightly at the prospect of having Celeste in her group.
"Lady Kriss, Lady America, you are a group." I feel slightly disappointed that Marlee isn't in my group, but at least I didn't get Celeste. Just the thought of her makes me want to punch a wall. Ugh!
"Lady Marlee, Lady Natalie, Lady Amy and Lady Anna you are a group." I don't listen to the rest of the names as I feel myself start to daydream again. The only thing I really know about the last group is that it has 7 people.. My group is pretty good, I mean Kriss is a good worker and I know that she wants to make a good impression. Silvia is going to tell us what banquet we are assigned to after she announces the groups because she thinks that other groups should not know what banquet your group is doing. I think it's stupid, really. That's when Silvia announces,
"There will be another massive elimination at the end of this project. Only 10 girls will be left..The Elite." She says the last part softly, as if she can't believe the words coming out of her mouth. I don't understand why she said it would be a massive elimination, only 7 girls are going to get eliminated. I really hope Maxon doesn't eliminate me. However, my gut tells me he won't. I can tell he always enjoys it when we have our dates. Speaking of dates, I have one with him tonight! The thought of that makes me excited. Soon, Silvia comes over to Me and Kriss.
"Ladies, you will be in charge of the royal banquet of the English royals. This banquet is one of the bigger ones, but I feel that you girls are the most responsible and that you can handle it." I'm not sure whether to feel flattered that she said we are responsible, or annoyed that she's giving us one of the bigger banquets even though we are a 2-girl team. Kriss looks over at me with sheer joy, so I decide to go with being flattered.
"I have a good feeling about this. You and I are going to have the best banquet!" Kriss squeals. Then she says,
"We are sure to stay." I'm not at all surprised that she brought up the elimination. I mean, who wouldn't?
"So. How should we start? Or should we split the jobs?" Kriss thinks for a moment.
"I personally think that we should split the jobs, like you do the food and I do the decorations or visa versa, and then we see what the other person has done and give them suggestions on what could be better," she says.
"Perfect. Can I take the food?" I ask. Kriss bursts out laughing but doesn't say no. She has a comical smile on her face as she says,
"Yeah. I think you'd be a lot better at that than I am. However, I do suggest that you have some English foods." I smiled and said to her,
"Same with the decorations then!" We both grabbed a piece of paper and got to work. In the distance, I could hear Celeste arguing with her group about why she should be the leader, and why the others should follow her. It was hard to stifle my laugh. Kriss sent me a quizzical look and said,
"What are you laughing at?"
"Listen to what Celeste is getting mad over." Kriss goes quiet and we could hear,
"- No, I don't want this to be a team thing. I want to be the leader!!" Kriss, like me, stifles a laugh.
"I'm so glad I'm not I'm not in a group with Celeste."
"I totally agree. If I were with her, I don't think I'd be able I deal with it."
"I'd probably request a group change, seeing how obnoxious she's being." That pushed me over the edge. Just the amusing tone Kriss was using tipped me over the side. I burst out laughing so hard. Kriss starts to laugh too, and soon we are both chortling like idiots. Silvia sends us looks. That, of course, was when Maxon decided to make an appearance. I try to contain my giggles, and Kriss does the same, but we both fail. Soon enough, Silvia dismisses us and gives us a strict talk on work habits. I bite my tongue to stop myself from laughing again and I glance over to see that Kriss is doing the same. I definitely think she and I will become friends. When I get to my room, I see Aspen stubbornly sitting on my bed.
"Get. Out." I say firmly.
"Mer-" He objects.
"Get out! You have no right to be here and I don't even love you anymore. You dumped me that day in the treehouse and then hooked up with someone else. I don't love you! The person I love is not you. It's someone else now." Finally, I told him the truth.
"Bu-"
"Get the hell out of here!" He slowly and purposefully walks to the door.
"Bye, America." Aspen looks so sincere that I wonder if I made the right decision. Then he spits,
"Or should I say, Lady Singer?" He stomps out of the room and slams the door. I hope nobody heard the door slam. If they did, I was going to have to come up with a good excuse for that. I keep my dress on and grab a book from the shelf. Maxon would be here soon, but I was going to kill time by reading. A few minutes later, I heard the door creak open. I turned around and saw Maxon grinning.
"To the gardens?" He asked.
"Of course! Like always." I so desperately wanted one of the other girls to see me with Maxon. Don't ask me why. I think I just wanted to make them jealous. I kinda wanted Aspen to see me with Maxon, too. Then maybe he'll stop bothering me when he realizes that I truly love Maxon. When we get to the garden, Maxon says,
"I was waiting all day to see you."
"I.. I was, erm, too." Now that I thought of it, I really was waiting for him. He looks at me and smiles.
"I love you, America."
