"A telephone?"
"You know, the things people use to talk to other people who are far away?"
"I know what a telephone is." Alpha Blake said.
"Good, do you have one that I can borrow?"
"Why?"
"I want to talk to my sister, she always has good insight on problems like these."
"Sure, do you want me to get the phone book?"
"There is such a thing as a phone book for werewolves?"
"Yes?" Alpha Blake answered like a question.
"Wow." I chuckle. "I won't be needing the werewolf phone book, I know the number off by heart, I just the phone."
Alpha Blake points to a wall phone.
"You can use that."
"Thanks." I say as I prop myself up on the bench beside the phone.
I dial the number faultlessly, and soon enough the phone begins to ring the other.

"Hello, is this the-" I begin.
"Why are you calling us?" A woman sneers from down the line.
"Uh, I'm sorry." I say, trying to stay polite. "I may have the wrong number, what pack is this?"
"Waning Crescent."
"Oh good, I do have the right number. Can I please speak to Lea Robinson?" I ask.
"Lea Robinson?" The woman confirms.
"Yes."
"We do not have a Lea Robinson in our pack at this current time."
I tap my finger on the bench as I think.
"Is your Luna called Lea?" I ask, vaguely recalling Lea's last letter and there being something about her mate becoming the Alpha of the Waning Crescent Pack.
"Correct."
"Gah, what was her mate's last name." I mutter to myself.
"What business do you have with our Luna?" The woman asks.
"I'm being held captive here and I'm good friends with Lea. I have found that she is often good with advice." I explain briefly.
"You're a prisoner there."
"Well, not exactly."
"I can put you onto our Alpha, he will be able to free you, mean while we be able to wage war on that pack."
"Wage war?" I ask. "That's absolutely ridiculous. I'm not even in your pack. I just need some advice."
"Oh."
"Give me a minute to think of her name." I say patiently.
"Clayton." I suddenly shout.
I feel the tension in the room and I pretend to not notice it.
"Do you have a Lea Clayton?"
"I will pass you onto Lea Clayton, please wait a minute." The woman rehearses and the line is put on hold.
I continue to tap my fingers on the bench to pass the time, and to distract me from the fact that everyone in the room is talking to a one another.
"Hello?" Lea's voice flows through the speakers.
"Lea." I yell.
"Lisa?" She asks, and I can almost see the twinkle of excitement in her eyes.
"You got married?" I ask loudly.
"Are you okay? What the problem?" She asks, worriedly, overtop of me.
"And you didn't invite me?" I ask, ignoring her questions.
"Yes, I got married. Yes, I didn't invite you. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, just in a bit of a pickle."
"Okay, so what's the problem?"
"I'm kind of being held captive."
"You said you were okay." She shouts through the other end of the phone.
"I am." I say calmly.
"Okay, I'm coming to get you and," she starts.
"Lea." I say softly.
"I don't care if I get caught," she continues to rant.
"Lea." I say a little louder.
"Then you can escape, I may have to retake my death, which could be a little tricky, or I could start running again with you, but-"
"Lea." I shout into the phone.
"Yeah?"
"Your ranting again." I point out.
"Oh, sorry."
"It's fine, to be honest nice to hear, however there is no need to worry or get involved." I say carefully.
"Then why did you call me?" She asks. "You've never called me before."
"Because, you have good advice." I say simple.
She laughs at that.
"Are you sure you're okay? Didn't hit your head on anything? 'Cause I'm 100 percent sure you have the two of us mixed up."
I laugh lightly.
"But seriously," she says. "Why did you call me?"
"Lea, I found my mate."
Lea went silent.
"Well, shizzle dogs."
"Shizzle dogs?" I ask.
"Shut up, don't mock me." She groans.
"Why are we saying 'shizzle dogs'?" I ask.
"Well, this-" she stops short.
"Do the rogues know you're on the pack's boundaries?" She asks.
"Yeah?" I answer as a question.
"Well, the thing is-" suddenly she bursts out laughing.
I frown. "What? Did I say something?" I ask.
"I'm so sorry."
"Lea?"
"Sorry, I'm so stupid."
"How so?"
"I-I've been so caught-" she's cut off by, yet another, wave of giggles.
"Sorry." She says as she recomposes herself. "I've been so caught up in another war I've forgotten what can really be at stake."
"An how is that funny?" I ask.
"You, my precious Lisa, may have just solved it with one sentence."
"I have?" I say confused.
"You'll find out more later, ask Alpha Watson, but now, your problem."
"Okay." I say, refocusing my mind to the task at hand.
"You can't be away for to long at a time or you'll both, probably, go crazy."
"That's comforting." I comment.
"But you can't stay at the pack, since the rogues know of your whereabouts."
"We have already established that."
"So, you'll need to leave in about a week."
"Okay."
"You can then come here, since my pack is the closest to the one your staying at now."
"Okay."
"You can not introduce yourself to the pack and you can not let the pack know about your mate, there will already be spies within the pack and they can use your mate to hurt you and whatnot."
"But, what should I do after I go to your pack?"
"We'll talk when you get here."
"What should I tell my mate?"
"What I've told you."
"Okay, but what should I do about him?"
"Get to know him, I know you have trouble trusting people and learning to love people, but it's worth it in the end, he's not Dad. Please, trust me on this."
"I trust you."
"And you were right."
"About?"
"I am good at giving advice."
"Bye." I say.
"See you later." She said before the line went dead.
I hung the phone back onto the wall.
"Can I speak to Hamilton alone?" I ask. "In private?"
"Sure, you can go outside, Hamilton will show you the way." Brooke says, pointing toward the door.
Hamilton walks out the door and I follow closely behind. He reaches a park bench and sits down, and I follow suit.
We sit in a comfortable silence.
"Hi." I finally say.
"Hey." He says, turning to look at me.
"Tell me one fact about yourself." I say.
"I thought that we weren't going to get to know each other, to help with the situation."
"Well, that's not what we're going to do." I say simply.
"I have a pet rock." He says.
"What?"
"My fact, I have a pet rock. I talk to it every night." He says.
"Cool." I say. "I've always secretly wanted to become a florist."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"So, what did you want to talk about? Other than find out that I have a pet rock?"
"I'm going to leave in a week, then come back."
"When are you going to come back?"
"I don't know." I admit.
"So, we only have a week?"
"Till I come back."
"Will you come back?" He asks quietly.
My head snaps to my side to look at him properly. "Of course, I promise."
"Don't make promises, they're meant to be broken."
"But they give us hope."
We sit in silence again.
"I'm going to try 'the seagull project'."
"What on earth is 'the seagull project'?"
"I'm going to swim out to sea and live on a boat for maybe a month, then return to shore and return here. It should throw the rogues off my trail for a large amount of time."
"So, you'll be back in a month?" Hamilton asked hopefully.
"If I can get it underway, I'll need help from my sister and she'll hate the idea." I say.
"But if all goes to plan then yes." I say smiling.
"So, if I was to ask you on a date then you would say yes?" He asked.
"That would be a stupid thing to do, in case 'the seagull project' does work." I point out.
"But, I'm a stupid person, so I'm going to say yes." I finish.
"I'll pick you up at five?"
"Okay." I whisper, kissing his cheek.
