Riley pushed through the crowds that seemed to be multiplying by the dozen.
She scrammed home in a scurrying rush, too much filtered clouds not making her realize she was running on the pavements coated with thin ice.
Somehow she managed not to slip until she was within distance of her apartment complex.
Her feet caved in and gave up on her wailing legs that did a crying, split seconds causing her to meet up with a stranger.
"Hey, oh my god are you okay?"
Riley lifted her eyes to catch a perspective on a boy around her age.
His eyes were a crystal blue color,
filtered in to a cool, deep saturation and hue.
"Yeah I am." Riley somehow managed to laugh at her clumsiness. Her laugh took the mysterious boy by astonishment, not knowing how someone could recover so fast.
"Well that's good."
His voice was deep. It was the symphony to her ears, it felt like.
"I guess I'll see you around, mmm?"
He nodded his head yes. "Yes you will. See you later..."
"Riley." She answered him.
"Riley. I'll see you around. By the way, I'm Hayden."
"Ok, see you later Hayden." Riley gestured to the sidewalk with a smile. He grinned pleasurably, as if signaling he truly did have the acknowledging gracefulness of meeting her appearance. Riley watched him as he trailed down the street, his footsteps crunching in the piles of snow that was somewhat maneuvered out of the winter clearing.

Later at Maya's house, Riley seemed to forget what happened with Farkle. She continued to trance about Hayden- the blue eyed, dark-haired prince she destined to be stumbling upon.
"You're smiling, yet after what happened with Farkle today- care to explain?" Maya pulled her out of her thoughts. Riley couldn't help but cave in to the engraving forest of memory that was filled with Hayden. It's as if her mind was creating picture frames of his appearance with fields of flowers swirling in the breeze.
"So today I met a guy-"
"Ooh Riley met a boy? Is a punk rocker, is he six foot three? Does he break windows and eat every slice of pizza before the rest of his family can get to it?"
Riley couldn't help but giggle at her response. "Close enough."
"Anyways. How did you meet?"
"Today I might of after the incident, I tried rushing home. However, I was literally running, didn't even realize that I was, then eventually my legs gave out and I slipped on the ice accidentally."
"Then you met an unbelievably gorgeous guy, who stunned you, then it clicked?"
Riley creased a wide grin.
"He's really hot Maya!" She exclaimed, causing Maya to smirk.
"Riley? I think I know that!" She remarked sarcastically. The two shared a laugh and continued on with their day.
Eventually, Maya even settled a plan.
"You know what, forget Farkle and Josh. Let's date Lucas and that one boy you met."
"Maya, I don't even know if he goes to the same school as us! I don't even know where he lives."
"Well, looks like you're going to have to find out."
Truth was, Riley tried to excuse herself, but it looks like she couldn't dig herself out of this one. Maya seemed stubborn to this natural act of moving on. Riley still had a part of Farkle on her mind.
