I run the ice cool water onto the plate in the sink.
"Really Aaron, you'd think Katelyn of all would just mind her own business." Aph remarks.
"Aph......."
"Wait no, Zane......it would be weirder if Zane were to butt in........"
"Aph....."
"Actually no.....he's always been clingy and needy.."
"APHMAU!" I shout, interrupting her.
She gives me a scared look, making me feel guilty a bit.
"Just stop........and listen to yourself" I say, my tone leveling to a calm one.
"what....." She says, her voice very similar to a whisper.
"You've been acting........different lately....."
"........"
"Aphmau, I love you, more than anything in the world......."
"......"
"But the way you've been acting............its not the Aphmau I fell in love with in high school..."
"Aaron...."
".....and its not the Aphmau I fall in love with everyday...."
"it...."
"I know it could be the pregnancy.....but you are only 3 months along...your behavior shouldn't be like this..."
She bites her lip, dropping her head, and studying her feet.
Arrow comes over to her, tilting his head all the way up.
Then he starts to lick her ankles.
She is usually very ticklish when Arrow does that.
"I just......Aph.......is there something wrong?"
"Aaron......I can't......." She starts, her voice breaking.
"Oh...hey....hey" I observe, wrapping my arms around her.
"Why is the world so mean?"
"I don't know babe......I really don't"
"Aaron........please don't be mad......."
"I won't......I promise......"
"There is something wrong with the baby......"
