I throw on a pair of shorts over the one piece and slide on sandals. I text Lauren that I'm on my way and head out the door. When I pull up I beep the horn and within seconds they're out the door.
"Ready you big baby?" I ask
"You love this big baby, let's go" She smirks
We get to my parents house and I sigh while walking into the kitchen, let the work begin.
"Hey ma" I say, kissing her cheek
"Hey sweetie, good thing you're here early" She says
"Ohhh trust me I know" I mumble
"Anyway smartass where's Lauren and that precious baby?" She asks
"She's here, I wanted to get in the pool with them though" I sigh
"Oh well" She says
"Hi mama Drea" Lauren says while walking in the kitchen
"Babe your dad said stop whining and show him some love" She adds with a laugh
I suck my teeth and go into the living room and sit next to my dad.

After helping my mom prepare the food I got in the pool with Lauren, Tristan, and my dad for a while. A couple hours after people started coming and the block gets turned out.
"Mani come look at RJ and Alex" Ryan laughs, tugging on my arm
I follow her and see two of my cousins having a dance battle, RJ was lowkey whoopin his ass.
"Damn Alex, you gon let him school your ass?" I ask
"He ain't schoolin nobody nigga" Alex says
"You gon let him say that Rashawn?" I ask
"Babe stop instigating" Lauren says, tryna hold her laugh
Alex trips over his foot and falls, RJ grinning wide as fuck.
"Give me my 30 nigga" RJ laughs
Alex sucks his teeth and slaps the money in his hand.
"Mani you wanna go?" RJ smirks
"You cocky motherfucker, I don't know why you wanna embarrass yourself" I say
"I'm not that stupid Cuz, a group thing with me you and the clumsy one" He says
"Haha you shithead" Alex says
"We gon do the routine from last year" He adds
I nod my head and he goes to the DJ to request the song. 'Commas' come on and I start off with a clean milly rock, easing into the routine.
"I see you ain't trip this time bro" RJ smirks
"You gon jab at me all night huh?" Alex asks
Rashawn grins and picks up a drink.
"Ayo look at ya friends" Alex says to me
I look in the direction he's pointing in and my jaw drops at Ally and Chance grinding on each other.
"Laur, Ryan" I laugh
"What would their ship name be?" Ryan asks
"Hmm, Chancson?...Chanceally?" Lauren suggests
"Chancson" I say
Me and Lauren dance to the music and I grab her hand, moving us to the beat. She leans in closer and brings out her sexy eyes as she raps along to the song.
"Mmm daddy slow down your flow, put it on me like G baby nice and slow, I need a rough neck playa, Mandingo in a sec who ain't afraid to pull my hair and spank me from the back"
"No doubt, I'm the playa that you're talkin about" I smirk
"But do you really think that you can work it out" She grins
"I guarantee shorty it's real, baby stick it out here comes the man of steel"
Doin it and doin it and doin it well, I represent Queens, she was raised out in Brooklyn
Some time later we go by the pool with Tristan and put our feet in.
"Mani are you coming with me and my mom on Monday?" He asks
Monday is his first day of kindergarten and Lauren is the epitome of an emotional mom.
"Yea, I'll be there first thing in the morning" I say with a small smile
He flashes me a bright smile and goes back to playing on Lauren's phone.
I lace my fingers with hers and rest my head on her shoulder. She kisses my forehead and places her head on top of mine, I spot our parents smiling at us and smile back. We probably look like one of those cliché movie couples but oh well.
