Lauren's POV
I walk into the hospital and instantly see Normani and Ryan, I sit and rest my head on Mani's shoulder.
"How long have y'all been here?" I ask
"About 20 minutes, how you feel?" Ryan asks
"Just nervous" I mumble
A few hours pass and the doctor only came out once to say that Tristan's ankle would need bond fracture repair and his shin would heal with a cast.
Normani comes back from the cafeteria with food and gives Ryan her order then tries to give me a sandwich that I really like by the way, but I shake my head since my nerves are affecting my appetite.
"Lauren come on you gotta eat" She says, softly rubbing my shoulder
"I don't wanna eat Mani" I mumble
"What you ate for breakfast is not enough, that was 12 hours ago babe, just eat something" She says
"Excuse me for having no appetite cause we're in a hospital and my son has been in surgery for almost five hours" I say, slightly raising my voice
"You don't have to be such a bitch about it, I'm just trying to fucking look out for you" She says
"I told you I didn't wanna eat, you chose to keep pressing me about it" I say
"And you're choosing to take your frustrations out on me, oh my, it's such a crime of me to try to make my girlfriend eat after so many hours; how rude of me" She says sarcastically
"You're being a real asshole, I get that you're on edge but you're taking it out on the wrong bitch; you sitting here with an attitude at me like I ain't been up here the longest, fix ya fucking tongue and talk to me right" She adds
"You're right, I'm sorry" I say lowly
"One more time are you gonna eat or not?" She asks
I nod my head and she hands me the sandwich then walks away. Way to go Lauren, fucking shit up. Ryan chuckles at me and I shake my head while sighing.
"Biiitttcchh" She laughs
"Please" I mumble
"Look I know you worried that his ankle will be really messed up afterwards but it's just bones hoe, it's not life threatening, give it to God and shut your thoughts up" She says
"You have a point, I was a real jerk" I groan
"A real one indeed" She chuckles
Almost another hour passed and the doctor came out with a smile on her face.
"Ok so we fixed everything up, just give it 6-8 weeks and the cast can come off; come back a few times before then for check up and to change the cast, some pain medicine will be prescribed also" She says
We follow her to his room and his face lights up when he sees me.
"Hi mommy" He smiles
"Hey bubba, how you feel?" I ask
"Better now, hey Mani, her Ryan" He says
"Hey Tristan" They say
"Well now that I know you're fine I'm gonna head out since it's late, be more careful sweetie" Ryan says, going over to hug him
"Bye bye Ryan" He says
She walks out then it's just me and Normani with a tension filled silence.
