CHAPTER 14: Doctor

I took out my phone from my saddle bag. I sighed when I saw no text from him yet.

It's been more than a week since we last saw each other. He drove me to my house that night using my car while their driver convoyed us. We exchanged number coz I asked him that. I texted him regularly but he doesn't text me back. He's freaking busy all day even on weekends. While I'm here, always had a hectic days also, yet I still have the time to message him. Darn! Pinipigilan ko na nga lang ang sarili kong hindi bibisita sa kanila noong sabado at linggo.

"Bri you wanna come with us? Lilipat kami sa library doon nalang namin itutuloy to." Pagyaya sa akin ng mga kasama ko sa group study.

Trina asked me to joined their group studies and so far so... good naman. These past few days I got busy with it. I quite learned a lot of things and I enjoyed their company. Walo kaming lahat at tatlo lamang ang lalaki. The girls are very friendly naman, and I can sense that they're very genuine. Magkaklase na pala kami before sa lower years, hindi ko lang ata napansin or maybe I forgot about them.

"Oh I'm sorry Jen. I wanted to but my friends are waiting for me in the cafeteria, e. I still have a case digest to finish din, so I think I'm going home early today." Aniko sa medyo nalukungkot na boses.

Ibinalik ko na ang phone sa bag para ma off ang MacBook ko. Nakita ko namang nagliligpit narin sila ng mga gamit at ang iba ay inayos na ang mga upuan.

"Sige. Next time nalang ulit. Maybe we can add you to our groupchat?"

Cherry stopped at what she's doing and lifted her eyes on me. "Actually we already thought about it when you joined the group study for a several times, Bri. We asked Trina to add you there, pero sabi niya magpapaalam muna daw kami sa'yo. Okay lang ba?"

Napanguso naman ako at agad na tumango-tango."Sure. Sure. Why not?"

"Yun naman pala, e. Of course Brianna would agree." Jim said happily so I just chuckled.

"It's good to ask her properly, dude. For a formalities." Koby said to him.

"No, actually I was about to ask you din. I remembered Trina mentioned it once dati na you guys have a groupchat daw. It always just slipped in my mind everytime matapos ang group study natin."

Kinuha ko na ang shoulder bag ko at sinuot iyon sa balikat. Hawak naman ng kaliwang kamay ko ang MacBook.

"Oh my God! I almost forgot. Since tomorrow is saturday I want to invite the group in my house for a study. If you're free, you can join us. Bring Trina with you. I'll send the details in the gc." Napatango naman ako sa imbitasyon ni Carol.

"I'll see my schedule first if I have a plans for tomorrow. Maybe... I'll message nalang sa gc tonight or tomorrow morning." Aniko habang nag-iisip kung may lakad ba ako bukas o wala.

But as far as I can remember, I don't have any plans tomorrow. Maybe I'll ask Trina first if she can go. If she can't, then I'll stay in our house nalang. Para makapagpahinga nalang din saglit.

"You're not going to a party tonight, Bri?" Nakangising asong tanong ni Lance habang papalapit sa amin.

Pabirong napatampal naman si Jim sa kanyang noo. "I forgot! It's Friday night!" Natatawang napailing-iling naman ang lahat sa kanya.

"I'd rather rest on a Friday night, Jim. And have a party on a Saturday night instead." I joke.

"So you still went to those bars and clubs, Bri?" Manghang tanong ni Jenny habang nagsimula na kaming maglakad palabas.

Who wouldn't be amaze, by the way? Hindi biro ang kursong kinuha namin. But I'm not the type of student who is very smart, unlike Amiri. I'm struggling big time. I can't just visit those places again regularly, like almost every night. Why go to bars and clubs when I can't even ace my exams and not even sure if I can graduate with a flying colors. I have to study, of course. Have to finish a case digest and finish my school works.
