"Oh, c'mon, love, it'll be adorable I promise!" Kara assured her worried girlfriend. Kara had gotten them matching Christmas sweaters to wear to the family dinner, but as usual, Lena was freaking out about her impression toward the Danvers' family. And as usual, Kara eventually convinced Lena she looked beautiful, and she hesitantly obliged.

Lena emerged from Kara's room, her cheeks bright red. She crossed her arms over her chest.

"I can't believe we're doing this..." she mumbled, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Aslo, is something burning?"

The Kryptonian rushed up to her, pecking her on the cheek. "Ummm, no? And hey, we look adorable. See, your sweater has Rudolph, and mine has the snowman. Remember, his friend in the film?"

Lena rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile at the blonde. "Yes, angel. Do you remember that we watched it a million times already? I swear you know the script by heart."

Kara flashed a huge grin, grasping Lena's delicate hand. "It's a fact--I do." She then swooped the brunette into her arms, pulling her lips to hers. "You ready?"

"Be careful this time!" Lena scolded a they began floating in the air. "Last time I almost got taken out by a seagull."

Kara chuckled, shooting out of her apartment window.

Turns out, everyone loved Kara and Lena's Christmas sweaters. But it wouldn't be a true Danvers' gathering without Maggie's mock-vomiting and complaining, but Kara could tell she secretly loved it. Actually, she knew it for a fact when she eavesdropped on her and Alex's conversation---but Maggie didn't need to know that.

All in all, it was a wonderful day. Kara received lots of presents, but the best one of all was Lena's priceless smile when she was given multiple perfectly wrapped boxes from  the people that loved her. It was their first Christmas together, and it so happened to be Kara's favorite.

After a full day at her parent's house in Midvale, Kara took Lena back to National City, specifically to one high rise that had the best view in the world. Earlier that day, Kara asked Winn and James to help her out, and they had prepared an extravagant dinner. As Kara and Lena landed on the roof of the building, Lena covered her mouth, gasping. A blanket lay near the edge, surrounded by flickering, cream-colored candles that emitted a sweet peppermint smell. In the middle was a picnic basket, filled with various treats, minus the batch of cookies Kara burnt earlier that morning. Christmas music played softly in the background, and it was all topped off with the beautiful view of the city's skyline as the sun receded behind the hills.

"Kara..." Lena breathed, her emerald eyes wide. She then turned to Kara, smiling cheekily. "This is so sweet, angel, I--"

"Of course, love," she replied, kissing her. "Let's eat?"

The couple sat down, Lena throwing her heels off and wincing.

"Do your feet hurt?" Kara asked, urgently sitting closer to Lena and messaging her feet. This rose a laugh from her girlfriend.

"Since when did you become my personal assistant, hm? Are you up to something?"

Kara blushed, stopping. She reached inside the basket, revealing two mugs, in which she filled with cocoa powder and milk. To warm it, she shot lasers into both drinks, then sprinkled crumbles of peppermint in them. She handed one cup to Lena, who took a quick sip.

"Mmmm," she sounded, cupping her mug for warmth. Kara noticed this and swiftly pulled Lena to her side.

"Okay, it's true, I do have something special planned," Kara admitted. "But you know I would do this any night in a heartbeat if you asked."
