Sitting on her desk and writing some letters she had to, to the Lords in the North, Marie had a quiet evening. With Robb, They were fighting battles. He had no serious wounds from that, she had only some on her arm and those were mostly bruises. Nothing serious. Standing up from her chair she decided to search through the library, in the history section. She continued searching until she found something that picked her interest. The 'fire and blood, the Targaryen dynasty'. She frowned and picked it up

It seemed like someone had started reading it already, she opened on the page the other had left it. Rheagar of the house Targaryen. She smiled and shrugged as she started reading, Rheagar, the older prince. Killed by Robert Baratheon while fighting for keeping Lyanna Stark. She frowned and sat down on her chair, making sure none would interrupt her, she passed some pages. Rheagar was married to Elia of the house Martell, they had three children together. Two of them were killed the day the Lannisters got in the castle of King's Landing, the Mountain killed her children, raped Elia and then killed her....a tear rolled down her cheek. How terrible it must have been for her, to watch her children getting killed and then that monster raping her

Sh frowned confused when she understood that there has to be another child too, what happened to that? Then she found it, the third child was never found. Rheagar out of his too much love for his little daughter he took her with him in the battle field, what an idiot, Marie thought. the child just disappeared, its corpse was never found . Probably it was taken by the Lannisters and then killed or as many said an accident could lead to her little body never found. Maria nodded sadly, poor child. Then she passed to the other pages. Viserys Targaryen, the youngest prince. He was brought to Essos as the war had started, the only remaining of the Targaryen.

Daenerys Targaryen, the young princess. She was killed before the horse who was transferring her could arrive to the ship to sail to Essos. The Lannisters reached her first and killed her, she is buried with her father and mother. She and Viserys didn't sail with the same ship to Essos, Viserys's left six days earlier. Maria sighed and nodded, she shouldn't pity them. No, she shouldn't....but she did. They were just children....Viserys and Daenerys, the children of Elia and Rheagar's. the little girl who was lost in the battle

She closed the book when she heard one of her elder maids getting inside the room, her name was Arien. She was almost skinny with long white hair. Kind heart and pure soul. Marie gave her a small smile

"Your grace, I am sorry if I had disturbed you. I was just making sure you eat as you didn't appear at lunch" she said with her kind and obviously tired voice, setting the tray with the food on the desk. She turned to walk away again

Marie nodded smiling and watched her, Arien was old. She lived in those times of the war for sure "wait! Come here, sit. I would like to ask you some things" the queen said smiling brightly as Airen walked slowly next to her and sat down

"What is it my queen?" The old woman asked smiling

"I...I found this book, about the dynasty of Targaryens....none has ever talked to me about them. They have told me about the Arryns, the Tyrells, the Baratheons, the Lannisters, the Greyjoys....but never about the Targaryens. You lived in those times....tell me, what were they?" She asked
