The moment she arrived to Dragonstone she was met with Herastus, she got down of her dragon and walked over to him angrily. She slapped him and then stared at him. He didn't look shocked though, he almost looked like he expected it.
"I am going to hear what you have to tell me later..." she said angrily and walked inside.
She took a deep breath and looked around her, Dragonstone....the place the dynasty of her family had started. The place it would thrive, she walked inside the castle and noticed everyone bowed when she got inside. She smiled a bit and after she walked around and she took a bath and then decided to have dinner. She noticed Herastus was already at the table. At first they sat in silence until he broke it
"All I did....was to protect what we have" he started and she chuckled
"You left me to Robb Stark when he tried to murder me" she said and looked at him after taking a sip of wine
"I know.....but let's be honest here, Robb loves you he would never hurt you....on contrary he would destroy what we have built in a moment if he had the chance" he said and took her hand which she yanked away and he sighed
"I would never betray you my love....I love you but you have to understand that there had to be made some sacrifices for our dream....for the empire we dream" he said and looked into her eyes.
She sighed and looked into his eyes, he was partly right. She gave him a short nod and then took a bite from her food
"But....I have to tell you something" he said and sighed sadly
"What is it?" She asked and frowned a bit
"Your uncle....Doran" he said
"Doran, how is he?" She asked and Herastus shrugged
"I don't know much, all I know is that Oberyn died three weeks ago and now Doran is alone in Dorne with Elaria and the Sand Snakes....some very angry Sand Snakes" he said and he passed a small letter he had received from Doran.
What made her frown was the last sentence
Elaria has gone almost mad, my friend, she and the daughters of Oberyn now want to avenge his death by all means. They don't care about the cost and I must admit, I am getting weaker.
Mare stood up immediately and looked at him
"Send a Raven to Dorne, tell them that their queen is coming" she said and walked out of the room. No she wouldn't let Doran unprotected, she couldn't loose the last family she had left
