Silence engulfed the two; and it was deadly. Deadly enough to shut them up? well.. not so much.
"I-It is okay"
"I said it is okay"
"Do not be mad"
"I did not mean it"
"Jen"
"Uh- you were supposed to say 'Marcel'.."
He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and poked her. She fell off of the couch and he tried to stifle a laugh.
"Uh- are you okay?"
"Yeah"
"That was a- uh, a big fall"
"Marcel, calm do-"
"I am so sorry, please do not be mad"
"I'm not ma-"
"Please, Jen. I'm so sorry"
"Correction- I am"
"Oh my"
She laughed quietly and shoved him, causing him to fall off. They both laughed again, but his laughter added on to the beautiful sound of hers. They kind of blended together and made something oh so beautiful. Melody.
