//No One's POV//

Thompson stared at the barkeep, eyes wide and fearful. "Y-You- Todd..? The Red-"

"Slipped under ya' nose, Thompson," Todd chuckled lowly, "And I ain't gonna let you get 'way with it, I'ther..."
In a burst of panic, Tom got out his gun, quickly pushing it against Todd's chin. "T-Try anythin'... And I shoot..." Thompson warned, his voice wavering.

The barkeep, Todd, was his best friend in these parts. The guy who he could lay his troubles on, talk and sort things out. If the now revealed bandit did anything... He wouldn't have a friend nor a real enemy anymore.

(I had so much written and it deleted to here on me hhhh)

"Don't worry, I won't hurt ya'." He grinned, loosening his grip on the sheriff's bandanna as he let Thompson fall over the counter. He coughed, looking up at Todd who shifted away to clean another glass. "W-What-?" He asked, his gun shaky and now pointing at nothing except the wood on the ceiling. Todd looked over, "What?" His voice returned to his unbiased, normal voice. It was slightly sickening how easily he could just switch back to sane from insane.

Thompson slowly put his gun away, covering his face as he grabbed his whiskey. "You gonna cuff me?" Todd asked, leaning over the counter. All Thompson could manage to do was shake his head, frowning as he took a few sips at his alcohol. "What?" Todd asked, dumbfounded. "But- I'm a criminal-"
"Todd, you said it yourself. I've been hurt before against my own weakness, and I ain't gonna hurt you with yours." He looked away, shading his eyes with his star-in-bedded hat.

"What do ya' mean?" He raised a brow. "Love. You said ya' loved me." Thompson shrugged. "I ain't gonna lock ya' up when ya' love me. Especially when I love ya' back.."

At that note, Todd froze. He stiffened, looking down at the cracked counter top. "C-Come again?"
"You heard me," Thompson looked over, chugging a little of his whiskey. He was right, Todd had heard loud and clear. Maybe Todd was the one that had to take action if he wanted this to become anything

He couldn't, and both he and Thompson knew that. It was forbidden. An outlaw with a sheriff has never been heard about, and it would never be accepted even by themselves. One of them would have to give up all they worked for, they'd have to give up their life to love the other person.

"Can we do this just once?" Todd asked, his mind racing with too many thoughts for his voice to keep up. Thompson immediately knew what he meant and looked up at him, "We can't keep this up.."

"I know, just... Once? Or maybe we can... Not have it interfere with our daily lives but.. Y'know?" Todd tried explaining, having a pretty hard time in doing so. Thompson understood, though. He nodded, "Yeah, c'mere.." He placed his whiskey down, smirking a little.

Todd slowly leaned over, Thompson grabbed him by the ponytail and yanked him closer. Todd's eyes widened as Thompson made it to where their lips were centimeters apart. He blushed at the feeling of Thompson's breath so close to him. "T-Thompson...?" He whispered, eyes going half-lidded. Thompson hummed in reply, raising a brow. "Just kiss me already..."

With that demand, Thompson pulled him close and pressed his lips to Todd's. Todd reached up and grabbed his shoulders, holding him close. Todd let out a muffled whine, scratching at the sheriff's neck in desperation. It was obvious he wanted more, but this is all Thompson could give him for the meantime. When Thompson tried pulling away, Todd immediately grabbed his shoulders and pulled him in for yet another kiss. Thompson gave up, letting the bandit do as he wished. It wouldn't be long before they had to stop, as a new customer might come in at any second.
