I MADE MYSELF AT HOME IN
THE COBWEBS AND THE LIES,
I'M LEARNING ALL YOUR TRICKS,
I CAN HURT YOU FROM INSIDE.

THERE WAS MUCH to learn about Earth and its little humans — that was one thing Genevieve knew for sure, and it was absolutely thrilling. It was like she had discovered a new toy to play with, or a new game with rules she was going to avoid like the plague. The queen had spent all of her long life in Hell, so it was refreshing to find something new to ruin and wreck, like she was quite used to — wherever she went, she managed to create chaos and spread havoc like a wildfire. But this time, she was going to enjoy the slow burn of her plan and avoid a raging storm, to create a small spark that would continue to blaze beneath the surface until it would be too late, and everything would go down in flames, up in smoke. Lucifer deserved the best — or in this case, the worst.

"It's small... but it'll do", Genevieve muttered with a judgmental stare rooted in her eyes, whilst she wandered around the quaint apartment Detective Espinoza had led her into. She was used to more grand spaces, and the detective's home was also devoid of a throne, which was a disappointment, but she deemed it only reasonable — she needed to blend in, and perhaps living in this pathetic excuse of a house did just that.

"Are you hungry?", Dan questioned as he peeked into the fridge of his small kitchen. "I have some bacon, leftover pizza... I could make you a sandwich. Oh, and, there's a few Pop-Tarts left", the detective continued whilst looking around the room, and judging the man's lack of food and belongings in general, Genevieve lifted an eyebrow. Sure, she had chosen the right guy considering he worked with Lucifer, and luring him into her traps had been beyond easy, but she was only now starting to see why — there wasn't much worth her while regarding his life, and the more she saw, the more pathetic he seemed in her eyes. Perhaps it was good enough for him, but the queen was barely satisfied with what she had found.

Squinting her eyes at Dan, Genevieve twirled her long, dark hair between her fingers and tried to make sense of what he was saying, to no avail. "What the hell is a Pop-Tart?", she spat in disbelief, wondering if Dan was messing with her or if Earth was truly a lot more confusing than she had expected, but when the man lifted a box that, indeed, said Pop-Tarts on it, Ginny felt a little less threatened by the unknown. The picture was quite interesting, however, and the queen soon found herself staring at one of the damn things, with her eyebrows knitted together and her mind wondering what kind of poison it was. However, the human body she inhabited clearly needed sustenance eventually, and believing that it would quench the hunger poking at her stomach, Genevieve took a bite and experienced the sweet, sweet taste of strawberry on her tongue.

"Oh!", she covered her mouth with her fingers as she swallowed. "What is that?", the queen questioned as she lifted the pastry up in the air and eyed the red goo inside, "the blood of my enemies? Because I don't recall it being this delicious", which made Dan snort — if only he knew she was being quite serious.
