Echoes: Battle with Jedah ~ tips + strategy??

The boss of The Swamps of Duma, Jedah, is practically invincible. And when I say invincible, I mean absolutely, 100%, INVINCIBLE. Almost no way to defeat him, right? Well, the fourth, eighth, twelfth, etc. unit to attack Jedah will actually deal damage, though perhaps a small amount (my Mae w/Aura was able to do a good amount, though).

Be careful, though, when attacking. Jedah has an awesome amount of power with his Death tome, so when choosing units to use, I'd recommend those with high HP, Res, or both. And Healers as well, though that's just a preference. He also has high range, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. My Leon (Bow Knight) equipped with a Silver Bow went out of Jedah's Death range, so he sustained no damage.

Now, if your units do get hit by Jeddah's low-accuracy attacks, assuming they don't die, don't worry. Fortunately, after the Player Phase ends, he usually ends up either not doing anything or summoning more Mogalls. You can use this time to heal up.

Before battle, I would recommend you to equip at least some of your units with regenerative items, such as Blessed Ring, Blessed weapons (idk if there's anymore besides the lance), etc. With the swamp + nearly endless amounts of Eye Ball Terrors reproduction, it could prove to be a very HP spending battle. Using these weapons/accessories can help gain back 5 HP per turn, which helps. Stationing units next to Saints can also gain back 5 HP through the Soothing Light skill only Saints can have.

Um, also a kinda weird thing happened. On the 7th turn of the battle (right once the Player phase was initiated), Jeddah said that he'd meet Celica on Duma Tower and teleported away (aka, disappearing off the map), and taking with him the Eye Ball Terrors that he'd summoned. Did this happen to any of you guys?? Was I just so bad at dealing damage to him that Nintendo decided to save me?? XD

At least, did I do anything to trigger that to happen? It'd be pretty useful knowledge to know.

Update:

Replaying Echoes on Hard/Classic mode, and there's a better method.

Use Leon to attack Jedah (he won't be in his range) 3 times. Then use Celica (with Mage Ring) to attack using Ragnarok.

If she doesn't crit the first time, just attack Jedah with Leon again 3 times, and try again :')
