I walked outside onto the main deck. I stood, raising my head to look at the ocean ahead of us. Beyond the prow, everything seemed to be plunged into complete darkness. Yet, the ship itself was so generously bathed in a pale, white light provided by the moon over my head.
Everything was so calm and peaceful tonight, the sound of the wind and the waves hitting against the ship's hull were in perfect harmony.
My eyes drifted beyond the dark sea, far away from here, there was a town. Always there. Always waiting. A town that a lot of people wanted to erase from their maps, a town forgotten by almost everyone... Everyone except us. Us... the outlaws, the broken, the dead ones. The ones that were left behind. In one word; us
Pirates.
