Silvery flakes drift down from the tired sky leaving an uneven blanket of snow on the ground. I stand in the center of town outside of where people will be voting for our president today. My mom is voting in the booth inside the building closest to the window I stand next to. Before we came here for her to vote, I asked her who she was voting for and she told me HIllary Clinton. I asked why and she just laughed and told me that Donald Trump was just as fit to run our country as a disabled goat. I stare up at the sky as the snow came to a stop. I think about why my mom dislikes Donald Trump so much even thought she hasn't seen any of his speeches or heard anything he has said at all; I wonder why she is voting without such knowledge; I wonder if she will continue to be disrespectful to him if he wins the election and becomes our president; I wonder if she knows anything about Hillary Clinton either.

"Okay Liz, let's get on home." My mom cheerfully calls for me as she steps out of the building, pulling me from my thoughts.
