Once we arrive to the DEO they already have a medical team waiting. But they did not expect what they saw.

Kara was covered in her own blood head to toe. She has cracks in her skin with bright green light coming out of it, her eyes were green as well. She was completely drained of energy.

She lacked strength in every way, but yet she was still so strong.

I still can't help but feel it's my fault for her and Mon-El getting kidnapped.

Six months earlier

It was Mon-El, Kara, Maggie and I. And Kara and Maggie got into a bit of a quarrel.

"All I'm saying is that Supergirl is really reckless. We had that robber, but then you had to fly into the building, break the roof, and a bunch of other floors. And because of how much you injured the criminal, he can press charges!" Maggie states.

"I saved people's lives, I bet you didn't know they the robber was about to shoot one of the hostages. Who was a little girl!" She shot back.

"Well maybe, he wouldn't have tried to shoot her if you hadn't provoked him!"

Mon-El tried to step in to support Kara, but failed.

So I stepped in. "Both of you, be quiet!" I yelled.

The whole table became quiet. "Alex I'm sorr-" I interrupt her. "-You and Mon-El should go..." I said in an angry tone.

"Alex.." Kara murmurs.

"I'm sorry about that Maggie.."

"I'll call you once I get home." Kara says in a sad tone. I nod, still a little frustrated.

I never did get that phone call...

Kara and Mon-El were ambushed in the elevator at my apartment. They guard had kryptonite and lead. He stabbed them and then took them.

Maybe if I never took Maggie's side, everything would be okay. But it's not...

"I know what you're thinking." I hear a voice from behind me say. "Well of course you know what I'm thinking, J'onn you read minds." I chuckled nervously.

"It isn't your fault." He said in a comforting voice.

"Still, maybe if I didn't yell at her to leave, she wouldn't be in this state. I failed my job as an older sister." I sighed.

"None of this is your fault Alex, it's going to be okay. You didn't know that guard would attack them." He said.

"Fine..." I sighed, defeated.

I haven't left Kara's side since we got back. It honestly hurts to see her like this. I wish I could've prevented it. I was injured, but not as badly as her.

I wish I could take her place, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I hear the machine start to speed up. "Guys! Something's happening to Kara!"

The medical team rushes in. They try to get me to leave but I wouldn't budge.

They take a sample of her blood to see what's wrong. "I don't know if it's a Krptonian thing, but I don't think her blood is supposed to be green." I say nervously.

"The kryptonite is spreading through her blood stream, its killing her!" A doctor says.

"If we can't make an antidote, she'll die."

No, no she can't die. I need her. "No! No, she can't." My eyes start to water.

"Somebody get him out of here, I can't concentrate!"

J'onn walked in the room. He started dragging me out. "NO PLEASE! I NEED TO BE WITH HER!" But he didn't listen.

A few hours later

It's been 4 hours since I last seen Kara. 4 excruciatingly painful hours. The doctors has been in there the whole time trying to help her. I stared at the clock, listening to it tick. Each tick is another second I'm not with Kara.

Suddenly the computers started playing a message, a weird mask on screen. It was CADMUS.

A few agents pointed their gun at the screen. "Stand down!" Alex yells. "What the hell is shooting a screen going to do?" She mumbles in a quieter voice.

"You may have noticed the Kryptonite in Supergirl's blood. We can tell you the antidote, if you can do one thing for me. Release my son.." And with that the message went of.

"She wants us to release Lex!" Alex yells with concern. "What's a Lex?" I asked. "Lilian's son..." Alex whispered. "Okay let's give it back to her, we need to heal Kara." I replied simply.

"Mon-El, Lex almost killed Superman. He's one of the most dangerous criminals to ever be seen on this Earth."

"Oh.. Still we need Kara to heal, let's just do it." I said. "No, I don't think I can allow that." J'onn replies.

I rolled my eyes. "We need to save Kara!" I yelled. "I trust my team, they are the best of the best. She'll be fine." He reassured me.

I look at the room Kara is in again. The doctors are in there just monitoring her when all of a sudden she shot up.

Her heart monitor thingy started beeping a lot. She ripped all of the wires attached to her jumped off the bed, and started running as fast as she could.

It wasn't that fast considering her injuries, but she was faster than any regular human. Everyone started panicking, yelling orders trying to hold her down. But of course it isn't working.

She leaves the room and almost exited the DEO. "Kara?!" I yelled.

She turned her head slightly and looked at me. She had fear in her eyes. She almost left, but all of a sudden J'onn is behind her and he stuck a needle into her neck. Making her pass out almost instantly.
