Jungkook huffed, annoyed. He'd spent the last two hours with you, sitting in a blanket fort in his basement watching dumb movies.
"When you said you wanted talk to me about stuff, I thought you meant verbally," he grumbled, pulling you closer to him.
You nuzzled the back of your head against his chest and sighed.
"I did and I will..." you replied.
To be honest, you were simply nervous about talking to him about what you had in mind. Ever since Taehyung had come clean about him and your brother, you'd been thinking that maybe, just maybe, you should come clean to Jimin about you and Jungkook. Another part of you reasoned that it wasn't the right time now and that it would never be the right time.
You felt Jungkook sigh deeply, his breath breath blowing your hair ever so slightly.
Taking in a deep breath of your own and releasing it, you plucked up the courage to talk to Jungkook about coming clean.
"I wasn't guilty about sneaking around at first..." you paused, taking a shaky breath. "But then Taehyung told me about him and Jimin and I suddenly felt like, I don't know, maybe we should tell Jimin about us.
"Another part of me is still not ready to tell Jimin. I just- I just don't know what to do Jungkook. I really want to be with you. You mean a lot to me."
Jungkook nodded, his chin hitting the top of your head lightly.
"Well..." he began slowly. "What if we pretended like we were slowly becoming friends? Like, I stop giving you grief in public and you stop throwing sassy comments my way in return. We look like we're becoming friends, like we're changing for each other because we like each other- which isn't far from the truth to be honest- and warm him up to the idea."
You twisted quickly to face your boyfriend, planting a deep kiss onto his lips.
Pulling away, you mumbled, "Jeon Jungkook, you're a fucking genius."
Jungkook gave you a smitten smile, pulling you back into a kiss before he pulled away mumbling a small, "I know."
"What are you doing after school?" Taehyung asked, leaning against the locker beside yours.
You shrugged, continuing to stack books into your locker. To be completely honest, you were only half listening to your best friend. Your mind was still focused on the plan you and Jungkook had formulated.
Taehyung looked like he was about to say something else when his phone buzzed in his back pocket. He fished it out, unlocking it only to quickly lock it again, his cheeks flaming.
You noticed his sudden change in demeanor.
"What was that all about?" you asked playfully.
Taehyung cleared his throat.
"It's, uh, nothing..."
You narrowed your eyes.
"I'm your best friend, spill."
"Really Y/N, I don't think-"
Your glare silenced his protests. He blushed a deeper shade of red, mumbling something to the ground.
"Tae!" you whined. "The floor isn't your best friend."
Taehyung nervously ran his hand over the back of his neck before looking up at you through his eyelashes.
"Your brother... well um... he sent me a nude ph-"
You quickly raised your hand to cover his mouth. You eyes were wide and you were doing your best not to gag.
"Oh my God. Okay, I want to hear about everything other your sexual life with Jimin," you replied with a shudder.
Taehyung laughed, embarrassed.
"So... you never answered my original question," Taehyung pointed out.
You pretended to think because in reality you didn't even know he'd asked you a question. If you had to guess, you'd probably guess that he'd asked what you were doing after school.
"Hmmm... nothing that I know of," you replied.
Taehyung nodded.
"Well, how about we make Monday fun and go bowling. We haven't been bowling in like... a year," he suggested, smiling widely at you.
You simply nodded, a soft smile on your face.
"What are you two talking about?" Jimin asked, coming up behind Taehyung slinging an arm around him.
Taehyung blushed lightly and leaned against your brother. You did your best to keep a straight face. In the background, you noticed Jungkook shuffling his feet awkwardly.
"Well, Tae and I were thinking about going bowling," you replied.
"Come with us!" Taehyung suddenly blurted out.
You sent a playful glare his way. In reality, this would be a good way for you and Jungkook to play out your little plan, so you weren't even annoyed in the slightest.
Jungkook seemed to be on the same wavelength.
"Can Jimin and I crash your date?" he asked.
"Well, I can already tell Jimin's going to come anyway, so if you come too that means we'll have even teams," you mused.
Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"Y/N's got a point. We should all go then!"
"You look ridiculous when you bowl," you giggled, your comment directed at Jungkook.
He playfully scowled at you, Jimin and Taehyung laughing in agreement at your comment.
"That may be true, but at least I've hit more than three pins," he said, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Your mouth fell open.
"Wow... I would be mad if you didn't have a point," you grumbled, shaking your head slightly.
Jimin rolled his eyes and nodded at Jungkook in agreement.
"I want to switch the teams up. Y/N's dragging me down," he said, earning a hard smack on the shoulder from you.
"This game's almost over, then we can switch teams," Taehyung said, a small smile on his face.
You couldn't help but smile at how in love your best friend was. The fact that he was in love with your brother was easy to overlook when you saw how happy Taehyung made Jimin and how happy Jimin made Taehyung. A small part of you was envious at how easily they could express their love when you were forced to hide your love for Jungkook.
When the game finally ended, it was no surprise that you and Jimin had lost by a wide margin.
"Thank God that game is over," you whispered to Taehyung.
Taehyung laughed as he re-tied his shoe.
"Hey Tae?" you asked.
"Hmm?" he hummed in response.
"Can you help Jungkook and I get on the same team?"
Taehyung looked up at you and noted your desperate expression.
"Of course Y/N," he said.
"Okay," Jimin said, getting everyone's attention. "Why don't Jungkook and I be a team and Y/N and-"
"But you and Jungkook have already been on the same team!" Taehyung interjected.
Jimin nodded, considering Taehyung's comment.
"Well... you and I could be a team then," he replied, a hopeful smile gracing his lips.
Taehyung nodded and Jimin and Jungkook switched sides.
"I hope you're ready to lose," you told Jungkook as he joined you on the other side of the ball return.
He simply laughed, bumping your shoulder lightly.
By the eighth frame, you and Jungkook were losing horribly. It was an off night for you, to say the least.
Jungkook walked up behind you as you got ready to throw another ball into the gutter.
"When you let go of the ball, let your arm point straight ahead of you. Line your feet up a little to the left- that's the right- yeah, there. You've got this," he instructed.
You nodded, letting out a breath of air as you strode forward. Letting go of the ball, you did as he instructed and you watched as the ball knocked over 5... 8... 9... 10 pins. Your mouth fell open as Jungkook whooped in joy.
"If only I had done that one the first eight!" you said, running to high-five Jungkook.
Taehyung was shaking his head in amazement and Jimin had a confused look on his face as he looked between you and Jungkook.
"Do it again on the next two frames!" Jungkook said, his face bright and excited.
Needless to say, you and Jungkook did not win the game. However, you'd had fun bowling. Jimin hadn't said anything about your chumminess with Jungkook either as he dropped Taehyung and Jungkook off at their respective houses and drove home. Overall, things were going way too well...
Jimin parked his car in the driveway and simply sat still. He didn't look at you and he didn't say anything. You wondered if he was even still breathing.
"Jimin?" you said quietly, your voice coming out barely above a whisper.
"You know Jungkook likes you, right?"
You wanted to scream. Of course you fucking knew it. You were the only one who knew just how much he loved you and you couldn't say anything about it. The entire ordeal was frustrating beyond belief.
"Hmmm..." you hummed in response, feeling that that was the safest option.
Jimin sighed.
"I- nevermind," he whispered, sliding out of the car and walking up the drive into your house.
You followed behind him, unsure of his feelings. Was it too much to hope that he was already warming up to the idea of you being with Jungkook?
