Nathan had seen Lucas trying to talk to you before the game and it had gotten under his skin. First Lucas had come in and stolen his spot on the team, then he was stealing away some of his fathers attention, and now he was trying to steal you away from him. Or at-least that's how Nathan saw it. Whether it was true or not, Nathan wasn't going to let Lucas take away the one person that actually gave him hope that the world still had some good people in it.
**** The boys were all standing in line, waiting for the cheerleaders to be done with their routine. Lucas was standing right next to Nathan and he could see him peaking out of the curtains at you. Nathan slightly nudged him with his elbow and turned to his half brother. "I just want you to know that you're not going to be able to take them away from me. They're the one thing that I'm not going to let you steal from me." "So, I'm not allowed to have friends anymore," Lucas chuckled as he shook his head in disbelief. "Just remember that they're here for me, not you. You know, the better Scott," Nathan smirked before turning back and finding you in the crowd, smiling widely when you waved at him.
