Logan was unresponsive. Cassidy began loosing faith, she had only reunited with Logan two days ago and now, the love of her life was going to die. "Cassidy, is this what Logan wanted?" Asked Laura, who was now sitting in a chair next to Logan's bed. "This is not how your father wanted to go out. But I guess he is getting what he always dreamt of." Cassidy said. Cassidy was devastated to know that her loved one was going to die with her holding his hand. After a few minutes, Cassidy had officially lost all hope. "Forever and always right, my love?" Cassidy asked Logan. Cassidy released Logan's hand and began to walk away but all of a sudden she felt someone grasp her arm. "For....ever and....al.....ways." Logan said, barely able to talk. Cassidy turned around and put her hands over her mouth and began crying. "Logan, oh my god!" Cassidy said, filled with excitement. Logan grabbed Cassidy hand and held it tight with both of his hands. "Don't.....lose....faith....in yourself or me." Said Logan, still barely able to talk. Laura jumped up from her seat and ran over to Logan's side. "I'll never loose faith in you, Logan. Thank you." Said Cassidy. Cassidy grabbed Logan's face and kissed him on the lips for a few seconds until she released him. Just then, the doctor and Shaun rushed in to see all the commotion. "By the gods! He's alive!" said the doctor. Sargent Wade and Ben irons came running to see what happened. "Logan?! You are one tough bitch." Said Ben. Few days went by and Logan was back on his feet but still badly injured from his fight with Victor. "Logan, thanks to your body's healing ability, you will eventually recover but it'll take a few years until you reach 100%." The doctor told Logan. "That's fine with me, doc. I'll past the time with my family." Said Logan. Cassidy and Laura came up to Logan and hugged him. "How are you feeling today?" Asked Cassidy. "Still a little sore, I mean I had a branch through my gut and I had a hole in my gut." Logan responded. "Logan? What happens now?" Asked Laura. "That has yet to be seen, Laura." Said Logan. Just then, Shaun came up to Logan. "Gotta hand it to you, Logan: your one tough guy. And I assume your gonna cut me off mid sentence and then choke me to death right?" Asked Shaun. Logan looked at him and just laughed. "You know something, Shaun, your not all that bad. I won't kill you unless I really have to. But as far as we go: you can stay with us. I ain't kicking you out." Logan said to Shaun.
