Luan's POV
The next day, I felt sore. My eyes were red and puffy from all the crying, my neck hurt like hell from almost being chocked to death, the wound on my head was hurting, not to mention the fresh cuts that were stinging.
I didn't want to go to school today. I was tired of being bullied and ridiculed.
I sighed and got out of bed. I took a warm shower and waited in the family room for everyone else. I didn't have any breakfast. I couldn't eat. I felt too depressed.
Lori's POV
The ten of us were at the table eating. It was strange without Luan's jokes.
"Hey guys. Has Luan been acting strange?" I asked, putting a piece of pancake in my mouth.
They all nodded. "Last night I heard her crying. And when I asked her, she said allergies," Luna said.
"She isn't even telling any jokes like she used to," Lana said. "Or pulling pranks," Lola added.
"Guys we need to find out what's wrong and help her," Luna said, worriedly.
"And we will," I told her. "We just have to wait for the right time."
Luan's POV
I was tapping my foot when I got a text from an unknown number.
Unknown: Hey. Guess who?
Me: I don't know.
Unknown: I'll give u a clue.
Me: Which is?
Unknown: Romeo & Juliet ring a bell? 😏
Me: Maggie?
Unknown: Winner, winner chicken dinner.
Me: How did u get my #?
Unknown: I have my ways.
"Okay guys let's go we're leaving!" Lori yelled.
I switched my phone off and grabbed my stuff.
I sighed deeply when Lori pulled up at school. I got out of Vanzilla nonetheless and walked to my locker.
I used my small mirror and glanced at my reflection. My eyes were no longer red, but my face was paler.
Two figures appeared in my mirror. "Hey look Mal, the freak wants to start primping," Tessa smiled.
Mal reached in front of me and slammed my locker shut.
I turned around to face them. Mal was about to say something to me, but she was interrupted by Maggie.
"Don't you bitches have some place to be?" She hissed. "Excuse me morbid freak?" Mal crossed her arms.
"My name's Maggie," she folded her arm. "Well we're talking to our friend here so if you don't mind," Tessa said.
"Yeah well you're done," Maggie pulled me away and pushed past them.
"Thanks," I told her. "Don't mention it." "Hey what happened to your neck?"she pointed to my bruise.
"Oh um, I guess my chain from yesterday rubbed it," I lied. She looked at me wearily, but didn't ask anymore questions.
"What's your first class? I'll walk you," she offered, holding my hand.
I felt a tingle in my spine when she touched my hand.
She dropped me off at my Theatre Arts class. "I'll be right here when you're done," she waved to me. I waved back and took a seat in my class. Tessa was in this class. She kept winking at me.
I rolled my eyes and turned my back to her.
"Class I'm going to choose someone to come up here and they have to come up with a setting for an improv."
"Mm..Tessa! Since your so busy filing your nails, you can come up here and do the improv," Mr. Delena told her.
She groaned and dropped her nail file in her handbag.
"Alright! Ooh I have one!" She exclaimed. She glanced at me, with an evil smile, gracing her features.
'Uh-oh!' I thought.
"Okay we're young women working in a hair salon that I own. So can I have Gwen, Jessie, Terra, Tian and Luan come up here?" She batted her lashes.
The other four girls got up and walked to the front of the class, whilst I remained seated.
"Luan," Tessa sing-songed. I released a breath, thinking, 'this is not gonna end well.'
I walked up to the front and Tessa began.
