Prologue

Asher's POV

"In class today we will be writing letters for the pen pal assignment I told you about last week", Ms. Thomson said and I groaned. I've be dreading this since last week.

Ms. Thomson started handing out the letters. When she got to my desk she leaned in to me and whispered in my ear "I think when this is over you two we'll be best friends" she winked and went back to passing out letters to the rest of the class.

When I opened the letter I knew what she was talking about. It said:

Dear whoever,

I'm not writing you some bullshit letter, telling you all my hopes and dreams. In fact I'm not going to tell you anything about me. And if you don't like that you can take this letter and shove it up your bloody American ass.

If you are a touchy feely person then you should ask for a new pen pal. if not then we'll be fine.

Still hoping you are not a touchy feely person,

That was when I knew Ms. Thompson was right that we would be best friends in the end.
