The Warrior and the Ajin

On our own

Ruby yawns as they keep going down the road, it's around dawn right now, the sun was us up but it was mostly gray the signs of morning.

"You doing ok Ruby? You look tired" Kai asked. "Oh, I'm fine, besides after the Arevik incident I can now stay up without sleep for a week" she replied.

"Arevik?" 

"In a village she was visiting, for 2 weeks the sun was in the sky 24/7. She didn't get a wink a sleep and ended up in the hospital for a month when she finally did get some sleep." Kei explained.

"Yikes, that's bad."

Ruby frowns as they passed some guy on a motorcycle, but he stopped, he then starts to chase them.

"Ugh!" she clears her head "Come on Zwei!" the dog barked and ran faster.

But the guy caught up and kicked Kai's motorcycle he tried to gain control but he ran into Zwei and all four of them rammed into the railing and fell down.

Kei groaned in pain as he realized that his leg might be broken, he looks around and gasped when he saw Kai's motionless body, but Ruby was the most horrifying, she was right next to him with her eyes wide open, the shine gone and replaced with a dull dead look and her head was bleeding badly.

All of this indicating that she's dead.

"R-Ruby" he said as he tries to get up but the motorcycle  kicks him and takes out his phone.

"Call a ambulance!" The biker looks at him "Please call a ambulance, he's human!" he cried.

"It's your own fault."

But just as he said that a fist hits him in the face breaking the glace of the visor.

It was Ruby, knocking to him to the ground she repeatedly punched him "You jerk! Your nothing but the scum of the earth!" 10 seconds later she stops once she sees that he's unconscious with a bloody nose and two black eyes.

Getting up, the girl looks around until her eyes landed on Zwei who was next to Kai who was already up.

Walking over she saw the blood, he was alive but injured "Ruby, I'm sorry about your dog." Kai said frowning.

Taking a deep breath, Ruby poured her aura into Zwei, the boys could only watch in shock as the girl's form started to glow red.

Once the glow disappeared Zwei moves and stands up. Ruby giggles as her dog showers her in thank you kisses.

"Your welcome Zwei," she scratches him behind the ears.

Kai walks over to Kei "Uh, Ok I'm starting to think your girlfriend is supernatural" he whispered to him.

But Kei was too shocked to respond to the fact Kai is fine when he was not moving a few minutes ago.

And Ruby was dead earlier and thankfully for her being a Ajin saved her from staying dead forever.

He then starts to chuckle happily which got Ruby's attention, she snorts "Adorable" she muttered.

She then noticed that Kei was struggling to get up, "Kei, what's a wrong?" she asked bending down.

"I think my leg's broken and look what happened wen it got a little bright. And if we're together..."

"Kei."

"I guess people and Ajin shouldn't be together-"

Ruby bonks him on the head "Ow! what was that for?!" Kei groaned rubbing his head.

Lifting his head with both hands, Ruby made Kei look at her in the eye.

"That's for being a moron, listen you're human, just because you can't die doesn't mean a thing. People who think that Ajins are not human or just greedy and cowardly pigs who hate anything unique or different."
