Captured and Escaping

Ruby narrows her eyes as she looks through the scope of her sniper, in truth she really doesn't need it for the fact she self trained into having a unique binocular vision, but she does it for show so people won't know just how far sighted she is.

It comes in handy as a last resort too.

She watches in shock when the guy in the red jacket stabs the guy in the hat. But he then comes back to life.

*So he is a Ajin* She takes a deep breath and focuses her hearing on them, "In any case, let's get straight to the point. Just as I said on the phone. We're prepared to welcome you. What you do is up to you."

"Before I deiced, I have three questions to ask." "Why just three? you can ask as many as you like."

Kei looks at him in surprise before asking, "First Question. What'd you do with Eriko?" Ruby lifts her sniper to the guys head "We let her go?"

She looked at that in shock, but that wasn't enough to convince her. He could be a bad guy with a sense of honor.

And then she blink in surprised when the guy got on his knees and apologizes for kidnapping Kei's sister.

*OK, this is getting weird.*

"My second question...is more about your daily life. I want to know how you live. How do you get by?"

Getting up Sato said, "I'm sure you must have been treated terribly by many people since you learn you were a Ajin."

"But that's no reason to hate all humans indiscriminately or at least that's what I believe. More human than human that's our motto. We live quietly, that's our daily life."

Sato looks at Tanaka "Although he doesn't approve much." The Ajin just scoffs and looks away.

"Now, what do you want to do Nagai?" Sato asked him.

Kei looks down "It's true, I have been treated terribly, there are definitely horrible humans out there. But like you, Mr. Sato I don't see humans as enemies. All I want is to live a normal, quite life."

"Nagai, I understand your feelings perfectly, but, look, there's one thing I want you to remember. I told you our motto was to live quietly, but if something awful should happen to you, or if you're captured, then that's a different story."

Ruby trains her sniper back onto him, there's a double meaning to that and she knows it.

"If that should happen, I swear I will do whatever it takes to rescue you. Just like I rescued him."

"So, then, what's your third question?"

Kei was about to answer his final question when tranquilizer darts went off and one hits Kei.

Ruby gasped as she goes to help when a black ghost comes out with a sniper. "Good job, drop him off so the authorities will find him."

She glares at the man, she knew he wanted something from Kei!

But then she's grabbed from behind she looks and sees Crimson "Crimson?" she said in shock as the Ghost flies away.

"What? no Kei!" she struggled as the temple went farther and farther away.

An hour later, they stopped in the middle of the woods Ruby growls in anger "Why did you do that?!" She yelled.

"If I did, Sato would hand you over to the police and you would be experiment on. Sato's goal is to teach Kei to hate humans, he wants to gain Kei's trust this way" Crimson answered.

Ruby growls "I knew it!" "What now?" "We wait until night, the police should be done getting Kai by then."

"Kai's been arrested!? how-" she gasped in realization it was the phone call, the police must've been tracking Eriko when she was kidnapped.
